Donald Trump's Nemesis Megyn Kelly Might Leave Fox News

The network’s star anchor wants to keep her options open.
In an interview published in Variety on Tuesday, Megyn Kelly says she may not want to stay with Fox News after her contract expires this fall.
Speaking to Ryan Setoodeh, the entertainment news site’s New York bureau chief, the anchor says that although she loved her time at Fox, “there’s a lot of brain damage that comes from the job.” Having her own primetime show, The Kelly File, has made the job more difficult, she says. “There was probably less brain damage when I worked in the afternoon. I was less well known. I had far less conflict in my life.”
That “conflict” seems to be a thinly veiled reference to her ongoing feud with Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. The real estate mogul has repeatedly attacked Kelly, calling her “crazy” and saying that “there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” after an early debate, a comment that many took as a reference to menstruation.
“It has not been enjoyable. I wish it hadn’t happened,” she says of the debacle. “I hope it will stop—his focus on me. If he’s determined not to stop, there’s nothing I can do. I don’t like being the story. I think it raises real First Amendment issues.”
So is Kelly’s next move her own talk show? Probably not. “I’ve thought about that…I just don’t think that’s the perfect thing for me,” she told Variety.
