The favors were troubling — using NYPD cops to provide security for private cash and jewelry deliveries and police escorts for funerals and airport trips to transfer bodies to Israel.

This is the problem with Clinton. Not just the spying, it's the sale of offices. Nothing is being said about that, but it is the way forward with that situation IMO.

Scandal is worth watching.

Rechnitz was formerly an executive for Africa-Israel USA. In 2008, A-I sold 23 Wall St. for $150 million to an octopus-like network of businesses under the umbrella of China Sonangol. Rechnitz was not involved in the sale, however.

How about Crimes. Call it like it is. Scandal makes it sound like a little indiscrection, like an affair. A triffling matter. Very normalized.

Call it a Crime. Then there is no need to faff about. The path forward on Crimes is very clear and established.

The city is withholding $35,000 in taxpayer funding from the group Borough Park Shomrim patrol following the arrest of one of its leaders in a nearly $1 million bribery scheme involving NYPD pistol permits.


The group has raked in $425,708 in pork-barrel funding from City Council members since fiscal 2010, according to officials in the mayor’s office. An additional $30,000 in contracts were funded earlier — including two grants totaling $20,000 from de Blasio when he was a councilman from Brooklyn.

The nine contracts included nearly $200,000 to purchase vehicles.
