Now this might not seem like much but I think there in insidious intent here. While this might appear like something similar to a Microsoft product compbination called Exchange and Outlook which can do things like compare different staff calendars and find a meeting time everyone has free, this is another level entirely IMO.
Google Calendar helps make the most of spare time
San Francisco (AFP) - Google has made it tougher for people to hide behind excuses when it comes to finding time to hit the gym or learn new languages.
Google added "Goals" tools to free calendar applications tailored for smartphones powered by Apple or Android software, using artificial intelligence to let software figure out when one could fit in workouts or lessons.
"Whether it?s reading more books, learning a new language or working out regularly, achieving your goals can be really hard," Google product manager Jyoti Ramnath said in a blog post.
"That's why starting today, we're introducing Goals in Google Calendar."
People can add personal goals such as going for runs or getting to gyms, and then Google calendar software analyzes schedules for optimal times to squeeze in activities, according to Ramnath.
Calendar will automatically reschedule time for personal goals if conflicts arise, and is programmed to automatically reschedule activities if users simply prefer to put them off.
The more people use the Goals feature in Calendar, the better the software gets at picking times for personal objectives, according to Google.
"Calendars should help you make the most of your time, not just be tools to track events," Ramnath said.

I think the objective of this is for Big Brother to start telling you what you are going to do and when AND no doubt cause you problems when you don't do as you are told.

Perhaps the google self distractor ................
,every time you come across some information based on truth, it can distract you away into something meaningless therefore allowing yourself not to be stressed out by what by what you may uncover so everything is ok and we dont have to worry...........

facebook, twitter and TV already got that covered.
I've been having a bad week. There does not appear to be a way out. oh well. It is what it is I suppose.
Anyone thinking of going to windows 10 should take whatever setps they need to, to avoid going there. I don't think it's possible to avoid the surveilance that comes with it. And it's total.
Also, do not, under any circumstances install it without moving all of your files to something else first. Once you install windows 10 all of your files are controlled by Microsoft and you must submit to get them back.

I'm not sure what linux you can use.
Microsoft is now in the process of corrupting the unbuntu branch so that is out. I'm looking at re-engineering my skill set and Unbuntu is now at a point where I could go there and have 100% capability. I do have many Unbuntu install sets so I can probably go with one of those and lock it down.
I heard rumours that slackware might get a resurrection but I hadn't heard any more than that. So basically you need something that is not from the Unbuntu branch and that doesn't really leave much.
I'm going to stay where I am for as long as I can. Basically I have everything locked down, but I will have to consider giving up my job sometime in the near future.
Windows 10 is so bad that you can't talk near a computer running it if there is a microphone and if there is a camera you need to cover it. I do that anyway for my personal gear because the manufacture introduced that feature about 4 years ago. Same applies to devices running Facebook. You can't talk near them because it records you. So any friends who have a smart phone and a small brain will be spying on you on behalf of face book/cia.
one of the reasons I buy international phones. and then hack the crap out of them.

My computer automatically updated to Windows 10 and I didn't even know about it. Pissed me off, because some of the specialty software I use isn't compatible with Windows 10 and now I have to work on my old laptop.

I hope you have worked your way through all the spy ware settings. I am not even sure turning them off in the interface works. I've read that it does not and you need some 3rd party tools.
Microsoft uses it's windows 10 customers PC's and internet connections to distribute the software to other users which in my mind is theft. On the face of it the default is local network only. There is an option for internet as well but so far I've only seen that option disabled by default. The local network option is enabled by default.
There is also a lot of unsupported hardware problems. I am going to deploy several systems that work 100% in Win 7 but are now significantly degraded in win 10. It's far worse than vista ever was. I think this is as bad as Win98 was.
It was possible to stop the win 10 update being forced on you for a while there but I think they saw that people were uninstalling the get win 10 coming in on win 7 and 8 updates and now if you get that far you can't undo it. Not 100% sure. That is why I locked all my stuff down. I'll hold on as long as I can but I am looking to leave my industry for good now. I'm done with it.

You might investigate Debian. You can dowload the full install and burn it to a dvd or a smaller version that does an online install via your internet. Debian is very secure. It is plug and play, very user friendly.

I haven't been to debian in a while. I also think i have a few install sets of that. Not sure how old. Someone on here mentioned mint which looked good but I can't recall which branch it came from.
I could hold Unbuntu at vers 12 or 14. Both pre microsoft.
My all time favourite was freebsd but it was never really for the desktop. In my opinion the best unix was on sun sparc. Way ahead of it's time. Although, on reflection it was easy to do things that would be considered serious security flaws these days. Very easy to commandeer whole networks of them and hive them up for your own needs.

Mint is a derivative of Debian. I have never used it. I did use Ubuntu and Kubuntu, also debian derivatives, a few years ago. I am using Debian 8.4 (jessie) which is the "stable" version. I like it more than either the ubuntu aor kubuntu releases.

 Yiddish microcode in all Intel processors perform constant surveillance on us goyim.
"Skylake's development, as with processors such as Banias (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_M), Dothan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_M#Dothan), Conroe (http://javascript<strong></strong>:void(0)), Sandy Bridge (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Bridge) and Ivy Bridge (http://javascript<strong></strong>:void(0)), was primarily undertaken by Intel Israel,[12] (http://javascript<strong></strong>:void(0)) centered at its engineering research center in Haifa, Israel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haifa). The team worked on the project for four years, and faced many challenges: "But by re-writing the microarchitecture and developing new concepts such as the Speed Shift Technology, we created a processor for 4.5 W to 45 W mobile devices, and up to 91 W for desktop devices."[13] (http://javascript<strong></strong>:void(0)) The Skylake processors will be used to power a wide range of devices, from smartphones (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartphones) and tablets, all the way to desktop."
