Just over 5 years since the massively destructive 2011 Japanese earthquake which unleashed a tsunami and led to the Fukushima disaster, moments ago NHK reported that Japan's Kumamoto region had been hit with another quake which had a Shindo shaking intensity of 7 and registered a magnitude of apprxoimately 6.4.
According to the Japanese media this is the strongest quake to hit Japan since the 2011 earthquake. The good news is that so far there has been no tsunami alert.
Bloomberg adds that JR trains, incl. bullet trains, have been halted in Kyushu; Kyushu Electric checking impact of quake on the operating Sendai nuclear reactors.

Nothing to worry about.
They've been through a 9.0 and three China syndrome nuclear melt-downs and everything is fine. Nuclear is proven safe now, no effect on the environment.

Earthquakes are nothing to the Japanese. How many monsters have attacked Tokyo?

Films: Wasei Kingu Kongu;King Kong Appears in Edo;Godzilla (1954); Godzilla: King of the Monsters!; King Kong vs. Godzilla; Godzilla vs. Megalon; The Return of Godzilla; Godzilla (1985); Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah; Godzilla vs. Destoroyah; Godzilla 2000; Godzilla vs. Megaguirus; Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.; Godzilla: The Final Wars; Varan the Unbelievable; Mothra; Dogorat, the Space Monster; Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster; Gamera; The War of the Gargantuas;Daikyojū Gappa; Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla; Terror of Mechagodzilla; Godzilla vs. Mothra; Gamera: Guardian of the Universe; Godzilla vs. Megaguirus; Big Man Japan.
Even though Americans created the giant monster phenomenon with films like The Lost World and King Kong, the Japanese took the idea to new heights. Thanks to the nation’s fascination with Kaiju, the Japanese capital of Tokyo has weathered the most giant monster attacks, and frankly, It wasn’t even a competition. By our estimation, 27 live-action films have featured Tokyo’s destruction at the hands of giant monsters, or Kaiju. Recognizable figures like Godzilla, Mothra, and Gamera have all wreaked havoc on Tokyo’s skyline over the years.

More than that list. In the Giant Robot series Tokyo is attacked by various monsters all the time. I'm sure there are others.

Another quake. God doesn't like Atheists

Magnitude 7.1 Earthquake Hits Southern Japan

A 7.1-magnitude earthquake has hit the southern Japanese city of Kumamoto, scientists have said.

The Japanese Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning, saying that there was "a marine threat" present and people should leave coastal areas.

The warning, which the Japanese broadcaster NHK said was for a wave one metre high, was for the Ariake Sea and Yatsushiro Seas.

A map by USGS shows the epicentre of the latest quake

It was later lifted and experts said there was nothing irregular reported at Japan's three nearby nuclear power plants

The quake, which was initially rated at 7.4 but later downgraded, hit at 1.26am on Saturday, local time, barely 24-hours after a 6.2 quake hit the same area.

Damage to houses in Kumamoto area

At least nine people have been killed and around 800 others were injured when the previous tremor hit about 9.26pm (local time) on Thursday.

Three of those who died lost their lives in Kumamoto.

The United States Geological Service (USGS) reported that two aftershocks of magnitude 5.8 and 5.7 struck just a few miles away from the latest quake less than half an hour later.

Local residents wrap themselves in blankets as they sit on the road in front of the town office building after an earthquake in Mashiki town, Kumamoto prefecture, Japan

Before the latest quake there had been a series of aftershocks in the area.

Earlier, an eight-month-old baby girl was rescued alive and unharmed from rubble by firefighters after being trapped for up to eight hours.

A video also emerged showing the moment frightened shoppers ran, light fixtures and shelves shook and items crashed to the ground as the quake hit.

Some 40,000 people were said to have fled their homes when the quake struck and spent the night outside.

One of the towns most badly affected was Mashiki, situated close to the epicentre, where fires erupted shortly after the quake hit, destroying many of its traditional wooden buildings.

5 Major Earthquakes In 48 Hours As A Seismologist Warns ‘Catastrophic Mega Earthquakes’ Are Coming
endoftheamericandream.com / By Michael Snyder on April 14th, 2016
Why is the crust of the Earth shaking so violently all of a sudden? Over the past 48 hours, there have been five major earthquakes globally, and one prominent seismologist has declared that “catastrophic mega earthquakes” could be on the way. In fact, seismologist Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado has made headlines all over the world by warning that “current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude”. If his projections are accurate, our planet could be on the precipice of a wave of natural disasters unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced before.
Since the beginning of 2016, south Asia has been hit by an unusually high number of large earthquakes, and this has scientists groping for an explanation. The following comes from the Express (http://www.express.co.uk/news/science/661052/SCIENTISTS-fear-the-Big-One-is-COMING-as-four-major-earthquakes-strike-in-48-hours)…

Scientists say there has been an above average number ofsignificant earthquakes across south Asia (http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/661151/DOOMSDAY-WARNING-Mystic-who-predicted-Japan-earthquake-says-BIGGER-disaster-IMMINENT) and the Pacific since the start of the year.
The increased frequency has sparked fears of a repeat of the Nepal quake of 2015, when 8,000 people died, or even worse.
Roger Bilham, seismologist of University of Colorado, said: “The current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude.
“And if they delay, the strain accumulated during the centuries provokes more catastrophic mega earthquakes.”
A single magnitude 8.0 earthquake in a populated area would be a disaster of historic proportions.
If we were to see four of them like Roger Bilham is projecting, that would be a complete and utter nightmare.
It is important to keep in mind that a magnitude 8.0 earthquake would be many, many times larger than the twin earthquakes that hit Japan earlier today (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3540061/Earthquake-magnitude-6-4-stikes-southern-Japan-collapsing-houses-walls-cutting-water-supplies.html)…

it isn't caused by 4 china syndrome melt downs into a highly siesmic area? Stories are Fuku was not the only melt down from that quake and tsunami.

I think there is something trying to get out and Japan is the weakest point through which to do so. And I'm not thinking magma.

Are you talking about that supposed Israeli computer virus?

Personally I don't think you need more than the Tsunami triggered by the 9-quake, shutting down the safety systems to create the conditions for a multiple meltdown. They had built walls to protect against Tsunami waves, meaning they knew that this was a weak point. They just didn't design them big enough for this mega quake tsunami.

when ever there is a 5 or 6+ earth quake I like to go and see what terral03 has been saying in his weekly reports on YT.

April 14th: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUycYp_Tf0I

Seems he's called Terral Blackstar now. Someone shut him down on YT because of copyright. I can't imagine what copyright he breached. He seems to use produce his own stuff and only uses USGS and Stellarium. Maybe there was another terral03?

He basically called this one. He gave a 3 day window and obviously magnitude he expected. Right on time.

He is indicating that between 2nd and 3rd week of May there should be something major happening on the West Coast USA. If you check out his latest report, he shows the activity over a period of time and he shows not only areas of intense activity, analyzes things like depth but also looks at areas where there is no activity.

So along the west coast there are areas of intense activity from central america to mexico, then there is an area of zero activity along the California coast and then there is activity again going right up along north western USA and Alaska.

He's saying that area where there is no activity is where this next period of activity will occur. So basically the yellowstone calderon area. 2nd to 3rd week of May.

Also anticipating more activity around the Gibralta area. Mangnetic pole shift had been accelrating it's oscilations then slowed this past few weeks, now looking to accelerate again.

If his dark star is there, we are not 12 months from the major encounter. We could start to go rapid iceage in 12 months as the suns energy is stripped off away from earth.

Just remembered, he things USGS is changing the numbers. They are reducing the magnitude readings after they publish them. A bit like the department of labour changes employment numbers post publication.
