Thursday Judge's Ruling on Sandy Hook Winchester (& Bushmaster) Trial - Why I bought another Lower this morning.

They are going Full fvcking Metal Jacket with the gun control - and the thing they are concentrating on, I think, is Lower Receivers.
The gun industry might have its "tobacco industry moment". Rulings like this judge's -

increase the chance of a tobacco industry type settlement, the kind that adds 25% to the price of every hunting rifle - and makes modular AR type guns basically unavailable.
I would say that the standard AR15 lower, the rifle butt stock or the CQB (close Quarters combat), at this point are worth their weight in Silver.
They are using the civil courts to force the gun control agenda. I expect this will add $30 (or more) to the cost of some simple Winchester hunting rifle like a 300 WSM - just to help them cover the increased business expense of legal fees and liability insurance.
Legal fees and liability insurance & gun control - see the hand of the Jewish Agenda running through this ?
Schumer and Feinstein and Rahmbo are like the Russian socialists scheming to upset the Tsar, so they can set up a bureacracy run by Jewish socialists.
2016 USA - 1916 Russia ... History repeating ?
Possible silver lining - more transparency on Sandy Hook.
So perhaps I should explain what happened.
Persons who fall in the demographic category "Sandy Hook Parents who claim to have lost children in the alleged Lanza incident" filed a civil lawsuit.
The judge whose name comes up, ruled on Thursday that the civil lawsuit can go forward.
So now it goes to the next court etc. etc.
"Judge Barbara Bellis denied Bushmaster Firearms and Remington’s motion to dismiss the case. The firm representing the families hailed the ruling as a victory. However, the ruling does not prevent gun makers from appealing and filing a new motion to strike the case."

The kind of rifle they are trying to sue out of existence (I think) is that kind of lower, with any of a variety of butt stocks. That image shows it with the rifle butt-stock.
That can be combined with uppers from any of these calibers
5.56
7.62x39
Bushmaster .450
Grendel 6.5
6.8 SPC
.50 Beowulf
.223, 6 mm, .250 WSSM
458 Socom (super-expensive, sort of not relevant, law enforcement will still get their 458 Socom's).
9 mm and maybe a few other pistol caliber lowers are also in the cross hairs of this kind of lawsuit. Anything that meets the 'semi-auto' criteria.
I would say, this is and is not an important ruling.
Not important because dismissing a motion to dismiss is standard procedure. That Winchester filed a motion to dismiss is also standard procedure.
However, those are legal niceties.
What happens next is, Discovery, Interrogatories, and more Motions.
The Case goes Forward.
I would guess the law firms involved are billing at least $250 an hour.
