I don't think he put the [video] tags. The https works either way. I put them on all the time.

I have found a few with https that wouldn't embed, but dropping the s they did.

In other recent posts I tried it all... https to http; and I always remove the m. preceeding youtube in the url.

3 replies up I just dropped the YT URLs, and didn't bother trying to embed with the VIDEO tags. In the OP where the YT url appears 2x, the 2nd one is actually sandwiched in VIDEO tags which I'm pretty sure you'll see if you test "Reply with quote"; but vB isn't rendering it by embedding it... only treats it like another url.

FWIW I also don't get word-wrapping in the compose/edit field; rather it keeps moving right until carriage return. Appears correctly after submitting though. Also, using vB's formatting buttons, I just see the raw BB-code tags when composing, not WYSIWYG. WYSIWYG doesn't work at all anywhere which is why I've been mostly pointing to source URLs for image/link/formatting-rich articles lately. I won't even get into the hassle of wrestling with android's highlight-copy tool for larger bodies of text with big images... images which don't get picked up & pasted anyways. :(

Using latest Firefox version on latest android marshmallow version. It's all I gots for now, short of paying at net cafes for windoze boxes.

Who is it here who uses that "forum runner for android" app? Is it okay? I don't like how it promotes itself adding a signature-like ad on your every reply.

And I'm leary of all "free apps" coz I find they nag/demand you allow them access to your phone's files/functions (contact list, cam, heart rate monitor history, password to your seekrit encrypted porn stash folder, must ok always-on A/V streaming & keystroke recording etc) which the app's stated purpose has no business accessing. IOW, spying/datamining/reselling your junk IS the app's (ulterior if not main) function. :(

I prefer to keep my personal junk strictly between me, my mobile, & DinJoogle/NSA/mossad. :)

Arrested Pug Owner Fired Over Anti-Semitic Allegation

A Greenpoint woman’s altercation with a police officer over carrying her sick dog through the subway has put her out of a job. To recap: Chrissie Brodigan, a VP for Online Media at Plum TV, says that after she argued with Officer Joel Witriol while trying to carry her pug out of the subway, he arrested her, grabbed her breasts, and punched her in the back while saying, “If you’re going to act like a woman I’m going to treat you like a woman.” Other witnesses corroborated Brodigan’s account, but one witness and an unidentified source told the Post that Brodigan yelled at Witriol, the city’s first Hasidic officer, “You f—ing Jew, you’re not even human. Jewish people think they own everything.”
