I do listen to Willie and take stock in his analysis. But this silver story is not corroborated by anyone else. So until it is, I take it with a grain of salt.

Since when did the US Navy start carrying around silver bullion? They had to have it on board. If you need fuel, you need fuel. It makes no sense to steam all the way back to port, get silver bullion, then steam all the way to the fuel dock...burning fuel, the whole time, to get the fuel you apparently need, but already have, because you had enough fuel to go all the way back to get the bullion.

I just don't believe this story.
