He doesn't have to prove it, and likely that's not his intent. His intent is to bring attention to it. He knows the Clintons will never challenge his statements, because to do so escalates the matter and if it does become a slander lawsuit, well, mamboni said it above.

The call-in on morning Joe today was great. He has a knack for trashing the assumptions he is expected to accept and then makes it plain it was an false assumption.
