The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations on Thursday lauded the Methodist Church Committee move geared towards withdrawing from a campaign boycotting Israel in the United States.

Leaders of the group called the decision an "appropriate refutation of the anti-Israel bigotry and bias of BDS.”

“The rejection of several anti-Israel divestment resolutions by leaders and members of the Methodist Church during its quadrennial General Conference reflects their understanding of the sense of fairness held by the majority of members of the Church," stated the organaztion's chairman, Stephen M. Greenberg.
