Dead could be brought ‘back to life’ in groundbreaking project

Sarah Knapton (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/authors/sarah-knapton/), science editor, UK TelegraphAgroundbreaking trial to see if it is possible to regenerate the brains of dead people, has won approval from health watchdogs.
A biotech company (http://www.bioquark.com/) in the US has been granted ethical permission to recruit 20 patients who have been declared clinically dead from a traumatic brain injury, to test whether parts of their central nervous system can be brought back to life.
Scientists will use a combination of therapies, which include injecting the brain with stem cells and a cocktail of peptides, as well as deploying lasers and nerve stimulation techniques which have been shown to bring patients out of comas.
The trial participants will have been certified dead and only kept alive through life support. They will be monitored for several months using brain imaging equipment to look for signs of regeneration, particularly in the upper spinal cord – the lowest region of the brain stem which controls independent breathing and heartbeat.
The team believes that the brain stem cells may be able to erase their history and re-start life again, based on their surrounding tissue – a process seen in the animal kingdom in creatures like salamanders who can regrow entire limbs.
Dr Ira Pastor, the CEO of Bioquark Inc (http://www.bioquark.com/). said: “This represents the first trial of its kind and another step towards the eventual reversal of death in our lifetime.

the reversal of "clinical death" not actual death. Lets be clear here.

I think this is more about being able to torture people by license. Cause them clinical death, then torture them for eternity by injecting their brains or zapping them electromagnetically.

To make it worse, have them wear headphones with an endless loop of "Tiny Tims" song "tiptoe through the tulips" playing 24/7 !

no but I know who we are dealing with. A lot of people don't think ECT and lobotomies are still being used but it's pretty much never stopped.

In this world you need to advocate for yourself. A conscious person can advocate for themselves and possible even encourage others to advocate for them. This becomes bothersome because there are then tribunals to go to, reports to be made and possibly even court cases to divert from the task at hand.

An unconscious person has no one to advocate for them. Their family will abandon them because they have been led to believe clinically dead is the same as actually dead and as a result they are much less bothersome. These people are not dead and will be experimented on and as I said in cases where a vendetta is being settled they will be tortured, with license.

Lots to consider, huh?
