Foreigners Around the World

For my article "When Foreigners Were Funny (http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/Culture/foreigners.html)" I needed an instance of Americans finding foreigners funny. The thing that came most readily to mind was P.J. O'Rourke's "Foreigners Around the World" piece in the May 1976 issue of National Lampoon.

The piece was reprinted in Volume 2 of National Lampoon's Tenth Anniversary Anthology, 1970-1980, from which I have taken it. It used to be on National Lampoon's website, but was removed at some point in the 1990s, I can't imagine why.
The article covers six pages, which I link to separately below, for the benefit of readers with slow internet connections.

Page 1 (http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/Culture/Extras/foreigners/01.jpg): Africans, Arabs, Australians.

Page 2 (http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/Culture/Extras/foreigners/02.jpg): Canadians, Chinese, English.

Page 3 (http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/Culture/Extras/foreigners/03.jpg): French, Germans, Greeks, Indians.

Page 4 (http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/Culture/Extras/foreigners/04.jpg): Irish, Israelis, Italians, Japanese.

Brilliantly politically incorrect!
