I'm not on Idiotbook and would object to my image being on there.... although I think it is... and my voice which I know is on there, because...... people are idiots. Lets face it.

Tenants in an apartment block have received notices ordering them to “friend” the complex on Facebook – or face eviction.
In what’s thought to be a world first, tenants were also told negative comments about the block on social media would be a breach of their rental agreements that could lead to them being shown the door.

An amendment to their leases tacked to their front doors titled the Facebook Addendum, insisted tenants in the City Park Apartments in Salt Lake City, Utah, had five days to join the development’s Facebook group after signing the document or be in violation of their lease, with eviction as the ultimate penalty.

Residents are, unsurprisingly, up in arms at being strong-armed into befriending their own home on social media – and the complex’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/search/131475923578656/local_search?surface=tyah) has become a hotbed of negative posts from online commenters.

The move raises questions of privacy and free speech that have wider implications as an increasing number of complexes are using social media as a foundation for community networks and residents’ associations.

The City Park’s Facebook Addendum not only includes a release that permits the complex to post pictures of tenants – and their visitors – on its publicly accessible Facebook page, it also precludes residents from writing negative comments about the apartments on social media.

Some of the City Park tenants have threatened to leave the block.

“I don’t want to be forced to be someone’s friend and threatened with breaking my lease because of that,” Jason Ring, who has vowed to move as soon as his lease runs out, told a Salt Lake City TV news report (http://www.ksl.com/?sid=39954863&nid=148). “If they get away with this, what’s to stop any other apartment complex?”

But its only illegal because:

However, lawyer Zachary Myers says the whole addendum could be illegal due to discriminatory practices: “The biggest issue that I have with it is that it seems to be discriminatory against elderly individuals and disabled individuals who are unable to utilise an online presence such as Facebook.”

Not because it's a contract change that 1 party did not agree to, so there is no "meeting of the minds".

Not a very good lawyer apparently.

Of course the answer is simple.
