After Obama Meeting, Bernie Sanders Said One Sentence That Ended The Democratic Primary

It only took one sentence from Sen. Sanders to make it clear that Hillary Clinton is the nominee, and he is going to be joining the fight to defeat Donald Trump.

It only took one sentence from Sen. Sanders to make it clear that Hillary Clinton is the nominee, and he is going to be joining the fight to defeat Donald Trump.

Sen. Sanders blasted the oligarchy, repeated the positions of his platform, and ripped Donald Trump.
Sanders said, “Donald Trump would clearly to my mind I think the majority of Americans would be a disaster as President of the United States. It is unbelievable to me, and I say this with all sincerity, that the Republican Party would have a candidate for president who in the year 2016 makes bigotry and discrimination the cornerstone of his campaign. In my view, the American people will not vote for or tolerate a candidate who insults Mexicans and Latinos, who insults Muslims, African-Americans, and women.
Needless to say, I am going to everything in my power, and I will work as hard as I can to make sure that Donald Trump does not become President Of The United States.”
Sen. Sanders added that he would be competing in D.C. primary, and concluded, “I spoke briefly to Sec. Clinton on Tuesday night, and I congratulated her on her very strong campaign. I look forward to meeting with her in the near future to see how we can work together to defeat Donald Trump and create a government that represents all of us and not just the one-percent.”
The last sentence that Sen. Sanders spoke before walking away from the microphones effectively ended his bid for the Democratic nomination. Sanders is going to finish out the campaign, but by publicly saying that he looks forward to talking with Hillary Clinton about how they can work together to defeat Trump, Sanders acknowledged that she is the nominee and that the fight is over.
Bernie Sanders is moving towards helping Democrats win the general election.
There is still a great deal of negotiating to be done, but Sen. Sanders didn’t sound like a man who was still fighting to win the Democratic nomination. Thanks to President Obama, Democrats are coming together quickly to focus on the singular goal of beating Donald Trump.’
