Sudbury police are working with the town’s school administrators after a white pride sticker was posted at the Ephraim Curtis Middle School on Tuesday.
The sticker was immediately removed after it was found on “a prominent pillar” in the eighth grade wing of the school, according to Sudbury police. No other messages were found during a search of the building.
School administrators reiterated all symbols and expressions of hate will not be tolerated during grade-level assemblies about the incident. Police said students came forward with information and their classmate who put up the sticker was identified.
“Disciplinary procedures were followed and the police and school administration will continue to work together to educate students and work with families to facilitate a safe, hate-free environment for all members of the school community,” Sudbury police said in a statement.
