This is very true and proven with twins. Both twins had identical IQ's to start. After a period of music lessons for one of the twins (piano), they had higher IQ's then their twin.

Preferably not open ended wind instruments which create negative vibrations similar to the issue with 440 hz. Closed pipes better.
