"The more laws that there are...the more crimes that there will be"...Ponce

But of course you could also say...

"The more laws that there are... the more laws that will be broken"

Factor in that ignorance of the law is no excuse you need to be a fucking lawyer to stay away from breaking some kind of law these days

There are so many laws on the books that the average American commits three felonies a day, without knowing it. A guy wrote a book on it:

Factor in that ignorance of the law is no excuse

Ignorance and error, are of several kinds. 1. When considered as to their object, they are of law and of fact.

Ignorance of law, consists in the want of knowledge of those laws which it is our duty to understand, and which every man is presumed to know.

Ignorance of fact, is the want of knowledge as to the fact in question.

Ignorance of the laws of a foreign government, or of another state; is ignorance of a fact.

Interesting enough judges are charged with judging the law of the case whilst juries are charged with judging the facts. Most juries are ignorant (ironic use of word don't you think?) of the concept that they can judge the law as a FOREIGN LAW in which case they are still within their charge of judging FACTS.

The problem to enter this arena is what contracts have you engaged in that makes all case law and statute law attach as DOMESTIC law rather than FOREIGN law. Do the laws of the U.S. apply to you in Kansas? Or do the laws of Kansas apply to you in Kansas?
