Two Georgia teens found dead behind grocery store in apparent double homicide

Two Georgia high school students were found dead behind a grocery store, right before the start of their senior years.
The bodies of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis, both 17, were discovered behind a Publix store in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell, Ga., in what investigators are calling a double homicide. The two suffered severe head trauma, police said.
A delivery driver noticed the teens around 6 a.m. Monday, CBS station WNCN reported.
Cops are still searching for the killer and motive, as well as why Henderson and Davis were behind the store in the first place. They believe the teens arrived between 2 and 3 a.m.
Their bodies were "found lying on the ground by two vehicles" when officers arrived, according to a police report. The vehicles were located by police and are part of the investigation.
Autopsies performed Tuesday ruled out gunshot wounds, FOX station WAGA-TV reported.
Henderson and Davis' school districts mourned the loss of their students and offered free counseling to anyone who might need it.
"Everybody loved Natalie. She was so much fun, always happy," Henderson's band leader told NBC station WXIA-TV. "I've heard from several of my former students — some graduated, some still there — they're just trying to understand why."

"We all are devastated by this tragic news," said a spokesperson for Davis' high school in Cherokee County. "Carter excelled in the classroom and on the field and will be greatly missed by many friends."
Henderson was a member of the Roswell High School color guard in Fulton County for three years, before choosing to spend senior year focused more on academics and her job, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Davis was a running back and kicker on the River Ridge High School football team and aspired to play lacrosse in college. He was a strong student, earning a 3.83 GPA in his last semester, according to one of Davis' posts on a college lacrosse recruiting website.
