Phones get smarter, people get dumber.

Is it just me and my distorted/jaded perception, or have people in general become more prone to error and sloppiness in the last year or so, making many little mistakes and even gross mistakes regularly?

I fight it everyday however I've discovered I can exploit it to my advantage if I'm crafty.

I used this virtually indestructible device for 10 years until service providers quit providing service for it last year.

OK this one I believe to be the one I use, but I use it so rarely I can't even grab it to be sure lol.

Edit: Wow I really can't find it! Always in a case and looks brand new.

If your service provider hasn't cut you off yet, they will soon. The 6010 uses 2G service and 2G is being phased out to make way for 'progress'.

People are getting ruder too. It is so rude and disrespectful to check a phone during a meal, or check it in the middle of a conversation with someone...but I see this all the time.

Anything you can't say no to, it is your master and you are it's slave.

People are become slaves to their phones. A couple of examples. I saw a guy stop walking, in the middle of a busy intersection, to check his phone because he got a text..cars honking at him, it all. I've seen a coworker, checking his phone, while operating a crane. Cranes are dangerous, especially when it's your hands hooking up the pick.

One coworker, had a complete mental breakdown while on a job because his phone broke. He went through all the stages of grief of a dying man, denial, anger, bargaining depression. Though he never reached the final stage, acceptance. That's fucking scary how powerful, psychologically, these phones have become.

Worst addiction ever created. People are slaves to their phones.

That may become the guiding factor to success in the near future. How smart you are with your smartphone.

It already appears as a prerequisite to some of the younger generation, if they don't possess the latest and smartest model they are somehow less than.

It has to do with the superficial, imo.

Only things superficial/shallow are regarded in any sense, those things are true, real, have depth (lead the receiver to activate any brain cells other than a slight sensory response) are not given any warrant or ability.

Women thrive on superficial and reproduction of it especially as they age.

Just went through that with "Pure Talk" which piggybacks off of ATT. Have until the end of the year to upgrade to 3G. Bought a ZTE-222 for the wife so she could "maybe" operate it and took her smart phone that she couldn't. I don't use it and only carry it in the car which has hands free Bluetooth.

I hope that no one is under the impression that "dumb" phones cannot be / are not tracked.

Oh, and that tracking isn't just for 911 calls...

Yes! The physical Mark is still coming, but the transition to it will be seamless, due to the prior voluntary adoption of the foundational technology.

People also pay good money for Telescreens (two-way televisions), as well:
