Grantville is one of those cities.

Dorthy Dow, a white great-grandmother, was set on fire by five black (four males, one female) at her house in a city not far from where the fictional events of The Walking Dead transpire

Dorothy Dow, a white great-grandmother, beautifully represents the type of individual who collectively epitomizes southern hospitality and charm, who is responsible for making a city like Grantville a place you want to visit.

It's fitting, much of season one and two of The Walking Dead is shot in Coweta County (near Meriwether County), but in our world, a far more sinister force walks the earth. Zombies are a fictional creation; Africans in America are a reality. [Senior fights for life after home invasion (http://times-herald.com/news/2016/08/senior-fights-for-life-after-home-invasion), Newnan Times Herald, August 5, 2016]:

An elderly woman is fighting for her life after a violent home-invasion robbery.Dorothy Dow, 83, was airlifted to Grady Hospital late Thursday night after sustaining third-degree burns and several broken bones.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on 7745 Forest Rd. in the Lone Oak community in Grantville.

Dow told deputies she was asleep in her bed when four black males and one black female forced their way through her backdoor and roused her from her sleep.

When one suspect demanded money, she was pistol whipped in the face after telling her attackers she didn’t have any.

Then one suspect poured a flammable liquid on Dow and set her on fire. During the assault, she sustained third-degree burns to her head and lower back, lacerations to her face, two broken arms, along with all the fingers on one hand, according to Sheriff Chuck Smith of the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office.

After the suspects fled the home without taking anything, Dow told authorities she crawled along the floor for almost an hour searching for her phone. When responders arrived to her home, Dow was able to provide investigators with the details of the attack before being airlifted to Grady Hospital.

She is listed in critical condition, according to Smith. With the help of a K9 unit, investigators were able to recover valuable evidence and track to a location where suspects may have access to property.

Members of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Meriwether County Narcotics Division, and the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office are assisting in the investigation.

The attack wasn't a random act of violence, according to Smith, who wants all members of the Lone Oak community to feel secure.

“We believe these suspects were looking for someone specifically,” he said. “When that person wasn’t there, the suspects attacked her."

According to Smith, Dow’s property is used for growing blueberries. Investigators believe the suspects may have been laborers who worked during the most recent harvest.

“We have a person of interest that lives outside the community, and we’re aggressively attempting to locate him,” Smith said.

“I want our seniors to know we’re diligently pursuing those involved in of this horrific incident."Smith praised the courage of Dow for providing investigators with so much information after sustaining such life-threatening injuries.

“It sickens me to see individuals do something like this to a senior citizen, and I’m driven to catch these people,” he said.

The Dow family asked that anyone with information come forward and report what they know to the Meriwether County Sheriff's Office or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Mrs. Dow is a patient in the burn unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, and her family asks for prayers during what will be a long recovery.

She was able to visit with relatives at the hospital and underwent surgery on Friday.

Dot Dow and her husband, William David Dow, came to Meriwether County from Elberton more than 50 years ago.

The family has a farm, where they have grown and sold blueberries, strawberries and tomatoes. Jelly made from the fruit has also been sold.

The Dows have been active in the community, and Mrs. Dow is a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak. Her husband, a U.S. Navy veteran, died in 1996 and is buried at Allen-Lee.

Though they can give you nightmares, the zombies in The Walking Dead don't exist and can't hurt you; the five people who attacked Mrs. Dow, those representatives of Africans in America, do exist and should give you nightmares as well.

Cortavious and Shanquavious two of the three Black Males Arrested so Far in Robbery/Setting Fire to Dorothy Dow, a White 83-year-old Great Grandmother

A couple days ago, you read about a white great-grandmother who was set on fire (http://stuffblackpeopledontlike.blogspot.com/2016/08/white-great-grandmother-set-on-fire-by.html?showComment=1470682925482)(still in critical condition) by five blacks and left for dead in a city not far from where the fictional events of AMC's The Walking Dead season 1-2 transpire.

Well, they've caught three of the blacks suspects: Justin Peirce Grady, 38, and Cortavious Deshun Heard, 18, of Grantville; and Shanquavious Keontrell Cameron, 17, of Hogansville.

Cortavious and Shanquavious... normally the names of defensive backs, running backs or wide receivers representing the Predominately White Universities (PWI) of the Southeastern Conference, they now represent the faces of a horrific black-on-white attempted lynching that only white bigots on the Internet will dare care to publicize. [Three arrested in attack on Lone Oak woman (http://times-herald.com/news/2016/08/three-arrested-in-attack-on-lone-oak-woman), Newnan Times Herald, August 10, 2016]:

Mere miles from the fictional events of The Walking Dead season 2 (think the farmhouse where Rick seeks refuge) three blacks have now been arrested for robbing and setting fire to white 83-year-old Dorothy Dow. Two of those black males are named Cortavious and Shanquavious...

Cameron is charged with financial transaction card theft and identity theft fraud. Cameron will also be charged with party to a crime for the charges levied against Grady and Heard.
All of three men are being held in jail without bond.
“This investigation is still active and ongoing,” said Sheriff Chuck Smith. “We are seeking the public’s help with any additional information that can be obtained concerning these subjects or their activities prior to and after this incident occurred.”
Smith said investigators are still seeking additional persons of interest and expect to make additional arrests.
Smith named the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, the Newnan Police Department, the LaGrange Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as agencies working with his department on the case.
“It is through collaboration with these supporting agencies that has made this possible,” Smith said. “Whether it be helping us track down these individuals, assisting us in searches or taking these individuals in custody.”
The day after the Thursday attack on Dow, the Meriwether Sheriff’s Office issued a press release indicating they were looking for three or four black males and one black female.
Both of Dow’s arms were broken, all the fingers of one hand were broken, and she was set on fire. Despite her injuries, she doused the flames herself and then called 911. She underwent one surgery last week and is scheduled for another this week. Her family has said she has a long recovery ahead.
Last Sunday morning, Smith visited both of Lone Oak’s churches, Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist and St. Paul CME, to offer assurances to area residents and to ask for information that might help find those who attacked Dow.
At Allen-Lee, Smith said the Meriwether, Coweta, LaGrange and GBI forces were collaborating to identify suspects in the case.
Smith described the crime against Dow as “the most brutal, savage attack … in what she considers her safe place, her home.” He also spoke of Dow’s resilience, noting she gave officers information that will be helpful in solving the case.
“What could we possibly say about her tenacity and her courage?” the sheriff asked.
Smith did encourage his audience to be careful and to report anything that seems amiss. “If it doesn’t look right, if it doesn’t sound right, don’t hesitate. Call 911,” he advised.
A love offering for the Dow family was collected at the close of the Sunday service at Allen-Lee. A collection also was taken at Emory Chapel United Methodist Church in the Dresden community west of Newnan. Richard Campbell, pastor at Emory Chapel since June, knows Dot Dow, having served as pastor at Allen-Lee from 2002-2007.
Paul Parker, owner of the County Line Cafe in Luthersville, said the restaurant’s patrons also contributed to help the Dow family with expenses.Though they can give you nightmares, the zombies in The Walking Dead don't exist and can't hurt you; the five people who attacked Mrs. Dow, those representatives of Africans in America, do exist and should give you nightmares as well.

Two of those monsters have names: Cortavious and Shanquavious.
