Federalization is not necessarily a bad concept except there is nothing federal about a national government out of control that pretends to be federal.
E Pluribus Unum is a singular National concept. I am indivisible myself and I object to being made part of ONE (unum) without my approbation.
The national government chooses to be federal when it suits their purpose.
