Salim Mehajer is a 30 year old licensed builder, a property developer and a former deputy mayor of the Auburn City Council,[4] which is situated in the Greater Western Sydney region of New South Wales, Australia.
In 2015, Mehajer came to public prominence in Australia and overseas after his marriage to his fiance Aysha Mehajer (formerly April Amelia Learmonth) was widely publicised in the media. The media focused on Mehajer's manner of arrival, which involved flying in one of four helicopters then proceeding to the wedding in a fleet of luxury sports cars, and for his wedding video which was widely shown on media sites in Australia. He was later fined $220 for the unauthorised shutdown of Frances Street in Lidcombe and for distributing a fake flyer warning residents that their cars would be towed if they were not cleared from the street.

Questions have swirled around the health of the marriage between Mr Mehajer, 29, and his wife Aysha in recent weeks, with Aysha understood to have left the pair’s Lidcombe marital home.

The Daily Telegraph reports police were called to Aysha’s sister’s home at Horsley, near Wollongong, after Mr Mehajer had allegedly been at the home “yelling and screaming at the door”.

Salim Mehajer's wife applies for AVO (Domestic Violence)

Controversial Sydney property developer Salim Mehajer has rejected claims his wife has taken out an AVO against him, saying police are behind the application.
The former Auburn deputy mayor says he and his wife Aysha are still together.
"The police seem to have nothing better to do then follow our footsteps," the suspended ex-councillor told the Daily Telegraph on Tuesday.
"Aysha has NOT taken out an AVO against me," he said.
"The police are pursuing for an AVO."
A NSW Police spokesman confirmed on Tuesday that officers from Sydney City Local Area Command made an application for an apprehended violence order against a 30-year-old man on Monday.
Aysha Mehajer's maiden name, Learmonth, was used in the application.

Aysha Mehajer Has Moved On From Husband Salim


or months now, we’ve believed that Salim Mehajer, the man behind the biggest wedding in Sydney, and his bride, Aysha, had split. There were reports she had moved out of their home, moved in with her sister, and more recently, filed an AVO against her husband.
However, Salim dedicated himself to keeping up what’s increasingly being seen as a facade, by updating his Instagram and social media accounts with photos of he and Aysha, calling her his “autobiography”, “real love” and “my love - forever”.
Now Aysha is having her say, by reactivating her old Instagram account, with one difference.
Her new Instagram handle, Aysha_lea, gives truth to the rumour that she’s reverted back to her maiden name, ‘Learmonth’.
The other remarkable thing? She’s gone to some trouble to delete all images of her husband from her account.

With the couple’s first anniversary less than two weeks away, Salim may sooner than later have to come to terms with the fact his estranged wife is moving on with her life. It may be easier said than done, however.
