here's a question for you seeing as it's OT and I've actually been meaning to start a thread. Question is for everyone.

Have you noticed any sudden increase in advertising for blood donations?

I don't listen to radio or watch TV but the other day I spent the best part of a day in a retail store that piped the radio through the store. It seemed to me that a blood donation advert was on pretty high rotation.

I wonder if it is just my local town or much wider than that?

I haven't, but that's possibly only because I don't watch Talmudvision or listen to broadcast radio (as you), nor do I listen to Ad-Muzak. I try to tune out all propaganda.

They have a donation/drive about once a month at the local grocerie here.

I think children need to be supervised closely over the next 2 months. Especially pokemon playing children. Very easy for them to be convinced there's a special pokemon over in the local park or down that street or near the canal/river etc. It's almost as if that is what the game could have been designed for.

You get the idea. Anyone with kids playing or know parents with kids playing should give them warming about Pokemon Stranger Danger.

I couldn't tell you how many times we were approached as kids playing in the street to help someone find their puppy or to be told there was free candy over there or that tons of money was coming out of the phone down at the local phone booth.

Of course not all dangers are from strangers.

Didn't notice the first 2 years but now is a common occurence. Seems like a traveling bus that goes to all their locations, might be 5 but all are kinda out of busy locals.
