View Full Version : Overheard by the TSA...

I was traveling earlier this week and while I was walking through my security screening I overheard a group of three TSA "officers" chatting it up with one another (there were few travelers in the airport, but the TSA was still fully staffed, so many of them had nothing to do but sit and talk with one another). Anyways, as I held my arms outstretched while being felt up, I overhear this old bag TSA "officer" talk about how years ago she used to not be able to hold a job, she kept getting fired, and was unemployed. And then in a gleeful and cheerful tone, and I quote directly, "911 happened! and I've been working full time with the TSA ever since!" It was clear she was very happy about 911 because only a forced and permanent government subsidy to pretend to have security in the airports is her only way of keeping a job. As the "officer" finished fondling my castanets and checked to make sure I didn't have bomb material on my person, I shook my head in silent anger and disappointment in yet another example of the degeneracy of our once great country.

Yeah, I suppose I should just quit my job, because it does occasionally require me to travel by plane. I'm sure my wife and kids will understand when I take a job that pays half what I make now because I don't want to fly.

I haven't flown since before 9/11, and never will again. However, in no way will I sit in judgment on madfranks for doing what he has to do.

I wasn't judging him, just making a statement. I would probably get crotch grabbed for half of what he makes.

You fly because you must and are subjected to this government oppression that has nothing to do with national security and everything to do with capital controls. And TSA is a means to accustom the populace to strip searches and property seizure withour probable cause and without warrant: totally unconstitutional and illegal. I refuse to fly. But I have that luxury to opt out.
Thanks for posting this info. It just confirms what many of us have already concluded: TSA is a joke, a make-work government program that employs unemployable misanthropes and does the government's dirty deeds.

I also have to fly for work. Having a passport is a job requirement where I work and travel is part of it. Thankfully I don't travel often, but when I do I dread the parasitic low IQ mouth breathing morons who are sanctioned by our corporate government to molest me and my belongings for security theater......

He, he. Touchy, touchy. I detected a certain unctuous quality about your post. Reminds me of a certain tribe. You seem to be the one bringing something from a different thread. Not me. Like I said before... Crying foul while you are the one doing the deed you blame on others.

Well now, I am not the one who started the off topic discussion. Curious, I do notice that you did not give crimethink the same admonition, yet he was the one who started the off topic discussion. I was merely replying to his post. Perhaps you do not approve of my general disregard for him? I see him posting willy nilly all over this site, making offensive comments to anyone who upsets his delicate mental balance, but you have no words at all for him?
As far as the TSA is concerned, get used to it. As stated earlier, we are being prepped for total control and those doing the policing will be our inferiors as is so obvious now. It is for the children after all.

If you play your cards right CT will put you on ignore and you won't need to deal with his Godlike, self righteous, knows more than you bullshit.
Now back on point.....
I've been flying for my job for the last 10 years and most of the time it's smooth sailing through the TSA maggots. I would rather not deal with them but I can't remember any time it ruined my day

I quoted the latest off-topic post, which happened to be yours. I plugged Crimethink's quote in as well, to show you I'm not picking on you.
And I really have no opinion on your general disregard for him, as a matter of fact I don't even know what thread you two started in and migrated to this one, I'm simply asking for this thread to stay on topic, and if you two need to hash out something, please do it elsewhere. That's not a lot to ask.

As with most American controversies this one has long since been forgotten and it seems like i'm the only one that goes through it when I'm there anymore, along with people with metal plates. Apparently going through the process of opt out was too embarrassing or burdensome for the average Joe six pack
What I have noticed recently is that two of my last 6 ish trips, I have come back negative on the strip they swab you with after patting you down which requires an additional private screening. Can't help but wonder if this is another pushy tactic to get the last of the stalwarts into line and put their hands up through the machine

It truly is the new normal, nobody even cares anymore. When I opted out of the scanner, I stepped aside and the lady behind me in line actually asked me why I wasn't going through and I said "because I don't want to," which blew her mind. She had no comprehension of why someone wouldn't want to go through the naked body scan machine.

So far I've never triggered the bomb strips, but I have heard that they get a lot of false positives.

you missed out. the months after 9/11 i was all over the country by air.......and a 5 night cruise ship kicker. people were so scared they were giving travel away from utter collapse in demand.....tsa wasnt up and running yet. roundtrips anywhere in US $150 dollars MAX (most were 110 to 130). the 5 night cruise was $220.
we flew from houston to miami, san diego, seattle, indianapolis, orlando, south padre island....all for chump change
cruise was to cozumel and cancun
it pays to lean against the wind :) sheep thought we were nuts...

I always opt out. And I tell them so everyone can hear. Once, I had to sign a waiver to be patted down by a large gruff woman at DIA. I had waited nearly 25 minutes for a man (sounds gay) and was about to miss my flight. I always ask for a TSA sticker just so they can tell me, "No".
Actually, one of the last times I flew, all I had to do was walk through a metal detector, and then had the sexy security guard ask me if I was really ready to leave.
Then, the next time I flew, they were rudely barking, take this off and that off so I stripped to my underwear in protest. Then he screamed at me to put everything back on. I laughed. He then told me he woulda kicked my ass if he was on the other side of the conveyor. I blew him a kiss. Then the cops came. I told them I can't be talked down to and that I was going to sit my happy ass down and wait for my flight. Like the Jedi Mind Trick, it worked and I sat down next to my mortified adult daughter. Oh, one cop said I smelled like scotch and IPA.

I've never seen one of those before! Most if not all of the TSA agents I have ever seen look like they're ex-homeless people.
