Not what I know of. I do use an iPod with Safari though, and it never had Java on it...

Are you trying to view them in Safari? I have the youtube app installed on my iPad and still see the videos.

I figured it out, some internal glitch in my iPod, turning it on and off restored jewtube. I have the YouTube app installed too...
