This needs to be explained! There should be 100% clear rules on what is allowed in debates. If electronic devices are allowed, Trump should bring a laptop for notes and connected to his team, and have a video screen installed behind him to expose the Clinton crimes. Where does this fraud end?

Up her back though? Her mic was low and under her front collar, it doesn't make sense to wrap a cord up her back, around her neck, and then back down to mid chest level. It would make more sense for the microphone cord to wrap around her torso and up the jacket. Something does seem suspicious about this... ???

you can and should run multiple mics. just in case. engineer can then mix according to levels they are getting in from the different sources. They would have lavalier (lapel) mics, mics on the podium, possibly stage mics and then auditorium mics to pick up crowd and for cancellation.
