If he were *really* electrocuted we'd have seen him die. If that was the goal at least the homeowner could have soaked down the grass real good to the point where there was standing water.

Electrocution GENERALLY always results in death, and when it doesn't there are obvious non-fatal injuries such as severe burns or something else requiring hospitalization such as Cardiac arrhythmia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiac_arrhythmia) or blunt trauma. Didn't appear to be anything approaching that in this video, and had there been the homeowner could have and would have been charged.

electrocution doesn't have to result in death. It can result in injury as well.

Electrocution is death caused by electric shock, electric current passing through the body. The word is derived from "electro" and "execution", but it is also used for accidental death.[1][2] The word is also sometimes used to describe non-fatal injuries due to electricity.

I am sorry you are unable to admit you are wrong.

I gave you the Merriam-Webster dictionary definition. The M-W is the premiere American dictionary.

If you need a Commonwealth definition, here's the OED:

electrocute, v.
(ɪˈlɛktrəkjuːt)[f. electro-, after execute v.]
electrocute, v.
trans. To put to death by means of a powerful electric current.

1889: Voice (N.Y.) 1 Aug., “Kemmler, the murderer sentenced to be `electrocuted'.”

1890: Boston (Mass.) Jrnl. 3 May 5/6 “The important thing to consider is that the State has a large number of murderers which it can neither hang nor `electrocute'—as the new phrase hath it.”

1890: Congress. Rec. 8375/1 “That the gentleman..should be `electrocuted' by the Kemmler process recently adopted in the state of New York.”

1920: A. Huxley Limbo x. 84 “It was as though he were about to be electrocuted.”

1970: Capital Times (Madison, Wis.) 16 Sept. 27/4 “In 1890 the court cleared the way for William Kemmler of Buffalo, N.Y. to be the first person to be electrocuted in the United States.”
electrocute, v.

b. transf. To kill in any way by electricity.

1909: Yorkshire Post 4 Aug. 4/5 “[A boy] who was electrocuted on the Mersey Railway last Saturday.”

1913: Daily Mail 13 Jan. 3/2 “The horse..was struck by the wire and instantly electrocuted.”

1970: N.Y. Times 18 Sept. 24/4 “A girl electrocuted herself..when she got into a bath wearing electric hair curlers.”

There simply is no leeway on this. There is no "injure" in electrocution; there is only plain dead. Injury by electricity is being shocked.

The garbage definition from your last link from OUP blatantly disagrees with the OED, which is the number one dictionary of the English language on Earth. Maybe that link is by and for the "New English," from the Third World, where precision doesn't matter? "Oxford Living Dictionaries"...where words can mean whatever the Hell you want them to mean?

My puppy got electrocuted but didn't die due to me being right there to yank her off the electric cord/socket she somehow managed to come into contact with (I didn't find any bite marks on the cord or socket, still dunno how she did it). She was frozen/stuck on it and couldn't move, had I not been there to yank her off she would have surely expired (she was on it no more than 2-3 seconds). Also without vet intervention she would have died, cost me $1,000 in vet bills.

One of which is Wikipedia, which no one in their right mind considers an "authoritative source."

The other is a "living" dictionary that is directly in contradiction to the gold standard English dictionaries of the UK/world and USA.

Electrocution doesn't always cause death.

Words have meanings, and their roots usually reveal those meanings. As has been demonstrated to you, "electro" and "cute" from execute were combined to form the word.

If the prisoner doesn't die, it's not an electrocution.

"Irregardless" of the fact that people routinely use it, "irregardless" is an erroneous usage. Likewise with "electrocute" for getting shocked.

If we all just redefine words to whatever we want them to mean, eventually we end up with Ebonics.

Grand inquisitor of Spain, Cardinal Ximenes holds the skull
of a infidel Muzzie and in his spirit we are more than willing to start another Inquisition anytime.

http://www.alamy.com/comp/B3YNBG/jimenes-de-cisneros-francisco-1436-8111517-spanish-clergyman-and-politician-B3YNBG.jpg

In 1509, at his repeated request, Ferdinand fitted out an expedition against the Moors (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10424a.htm), and, accompanied by two canons of his cathedral (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03438a.htm), Ximénez himself led the army. Inspired by his example and exhortations, the Spanish forces took the city of Oran (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11266a.htm) by assault. In his untiring zeal (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/15753a.htm) for the propagation of the Faith, Ximénez endeavoured to make the victory a religious one; numbers of Christian (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03712a.htm) captives were liberated, and several mosques turned into Christian (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03712a.htm) churches. On his return to Spain (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/14169b.htm) the cardinal (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03333b.htm) was received as a conquering hero both at Alcalá (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01271a.htm) and Toledo.

The Islamic State document said that since the establishment of the Spanish Inquisition in 1478, Spain "has done everything to destroy the Koran." It said that Spain tortured Muslims, including burning them alive. Therefore, according to the Islamic State, "Spain is a criminal state that usurps our land." The document calls on jihadists to "reconnoiter airline and train routes for attacks." It also calls on followers to "poison food and water" with insecticides.
"We will kill any 'innocent' Spanish infidel we find in Muslim lands, and... whether we are European in origin or not, we will kill you in your cities and towns according to our plan." — Islamic State document, May 30, 2016.
"We will recover al-Andalus, Allah willing. Oh dear Andalus! You thought we forgot about you. I swear by Allah we have never forgotten you. No Muslim can forget Córdoba, Toledo or Xàtiva. There are many faithful and sincere Muslims who swear they will return to al-Andalus." — Islamic State video, January 31, 2016.
"Spain is the land of our forefathers and we are going to take it back with the power of Allah." — Islamic State video, January 7, 2016.

Islamic militants are stepping up a propaganda war against Spain. In recent months, Islamic State and other jihadist groups have produced a flurry of videos and documents calling on Muslims to reconquer al-Andalus.
Al-Andalus is the Arabic name given to those parts of Spain, Portugal and France occupied by Muslim conquerors (also known as the Moors) from 711 to 1492. Many Muslims believe that territories Muslims lost during the Christian Reconquest of Spain still belong to the realm of Islam. They claim that Islamic law gives them the right to re-establish Muslim rule there.
A recent Islamic State document (http://www.libertaddigital.com/espana/2016-07-27/estado-islamico-amenaza-a-espana-es-un-estado-criminal-que-usurpa-nuestra-tierra-1276579332/) includes a list of grievances against Spain for wrongs done to Muslims since the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa on July 16, 1212, when the Christian forces of King Alfonso VIII of Castile routed the Almohad Muslim rulers of the southern half of the Iberian Peninsula. More than 100,000 Muslims were killed in the battle, which was a key victory in the Catholic Monarchs' "Reconquista" of Spain.

The same Jews and Goy Bolshevists that spew about "the Inquisition" and "the Crusades" and "the witch burnings" say NOTHING about the mass murder in the tens of millions of Christians in Russia, Eastern Europe, and elsewhere. Why? Because the Jewish Bolsheivk killers are their own kind.

The Crusades were, as you point out, a defensive reaction against invasion and tyranny. The slaughter of Christians was of innocents.
