Trump Campaign Buys ClintonKaine.Com, Uses It to Troll Hillary (http://www.mediaite.com/online/trump-campaign-buys-clintonkaine-com-uses-it-to-troll-hillary/)
The Donald Trump campaign managed to snatch up the url ClintonKaine.com (http://ClintonKaine.com), and is now using it to spread negative stories about his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. ClintonKaine.com was snagged all the way back in 2011 for $8 (http://money.cnn.com/2016/07/27/technology/clinton-kaine-website/index.html) by 23-year-old Jeremy Peter Green. For a self-professed socialist and Bernie Sanders supporter, he showed remarkable business acumen, demanding $90,000 in return for control of the domain name after Tim Kaine was selected as Clinton’s running mate.
In the end, Green ended up selling the site to a unknown buyer for $15,000. But that “unknown” buyer became known Monday after the site turned into a repository of GOP attacks on Clinton. A note on the bottom of the page indicates that it was “Paid for by Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.”
True to its roots, the top story on the new site links a Politico piece about how Clinton said Sanders supporters live in their parents’ basement (http://www.mediaite.com/online/in-leaked-audio-clinton-talks-about-sanders-supporters-living-in-parents-basement/). The bulk of the other stories however, focus negatively on Kaine, presumably intended to set the tone ahead of Tuesday’s vice presidential debate.

>Jeremy Peter Green says he bought clintonkaine.com (http://clintonkaine.com) for $7.30 in 2011 and recently sold the domain to the Trump campaign for $15,000, which is now using the site to troll Hillary Clinton and her running mate, Tim Kaine.

That doesn't pass the smell test. Who would have thought Clinton would pick Kaine, unless they knew it was pre-planned?

People buy domains all the time in hopes they can resell them later for money. I used to do this myself. It's like a form of investing. There's domains registered for other people with Clinton too.
For example:

I understand that, but Kaine? Warren was the most obvious choice, and isn't a surprise.

Kaine was the previous DNC chairman and "made a deal" with Clinton to step down for Debbie Wasserman Schultz. He was on the shortlist, just not for people who weren't paying that much attention.
It's is very plausible.

I agree. For less than 8 bucks it's a low risk bet. One of them had to be right, and this dude make some money on a lucky bet.
