A Donald Trump critic who allegedly destroyed the Republican presidential candidate and former reality show host's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame may face a felony charge for the act, the New York Post reported (http://nypost.com/2016/10/30/man-who-allegedly-destroyed-trump-star-faces-three-years-in-prison/).

James Otis, 52, of West Hollywood, Calif., is said to be the man captured on videotape, dressed as a Los Angeles Department of Transportation worker, and beating Trump's star with a pickax last week, until it was severely chipped and unreadable.

The LAPD will recommend that Otis be charged with one felony count, which could land him in jail for up to three years for the vandalism.

Otis is an activist and an heir to the Otis Elevator Company fortune, the Daily Mail reported (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3879200/Suspect-arrested-destruction-Trumps-Hollywood-star.html).
According to the Post, Otis wanted to sell the star as a whole to benefit the women who have accused Trump of misconduct, but decided instead to destroy it.

The star is valued at $30,000.

an activist you say?

Wanted to steal it and sell it you say?

Intended to entice others to conspire to benefit from the sale of stolen property you say?

Wasn't competent enough to steal it so destroyed it in the process you say?

In fact he appears to have confessed to all of that. Just needs sentencing now I think Judge.

Did he think they just lay those things on the ground loose or something? So that anyone could come and "lift" it? <-- see what I did there.
