A set of 103-ten-dollar gold coins was auctioned off today at the state treasurer’s office in Augusta.
The lot of coins was sold for $115,000. They’re dated 1932.
The coins were unclaimed property, given to the treasurer’s office by a financial institution.
The money from the sale goes into the state’s general fund.
