View Full Version : Reince Priebus named Donald Trump’s chief of staff

Republican National Committee Chairman has been named Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Politico reported Sunday.
Priebus is Trump’s first cabinet-level appointment.
The GOP boss had been frequently mentioned as the top candidate to be Trump’s chief of staff, along with Trump campaign chief Stephen Bannon, who had previously worked as the executive chairman of Breitbart News.
The appointment of Priebus — a party boss and consummate insider — stands in marked contrast to Trump’s vow to fill his cabinet with “outsiders.”

I'm wondering if this is an olive branch to the neocon shitbags in the GOP party in hopes to being able to accomplish a lot of his goals?
Guess we'll know more with what the other cabinet level nominations are.

Someone on Zerohedge said this:
Its been one week. I'm not sure what you expected. He isn't even the President yet. Did you expect Trump to pick someone that doesn't understand how Washington works? Would that be better? Get a clue. Washington doesn't follow orders. You have to coax it, wrestle it, kiss it, carrot and stick it. If you don't have connected folks on board with your vision pulling the levers, then Trump won't get anything done over the next 4 years.

He's a great choice. He's actually onboard the Trump train and he knows all the inside tricks Trump needs to know to drain the swamp. Moreover, if Priebus slips up just once Trump will cut him off at the knees. Can't trump The Don!

Trump has had more of a first-hand experience with Rinsed Penis than any of us have. If Trump feels he was fair and helped him get the nomination, then Trump will continue to use him to accomplish more things as president.
One thing I know for sure is that if Penis really stabbed him in the back, he wouldn't get that appointment.
Who knows, maybe he was the one who leaked the Ryan tape to the Trump team?

If you remember, Rinsed Penis was late boarding the Trump train. He didn't speak against, but didn't endorse him either until later.

As the RNC chairman though, he had to be fair to all potential nominees until somebody officially won.

Someone's comment:
Reince has all the dirt on every single fucking establishment Republican, considering he put nearly all of them into power. He was responsible for bringing Paul Ryan and Scott Walker to the national stage. He knows what moves them to action and he knows what they fear getting out.
With Reince on Trump's team the house and senate won't be able to refuse any of Trump's orders going forward. All the establishment cucks like McCain and Ryan that might've opposed Trump on his more unorthodox propositions? They no longer have that privilege.
With this move, Trump now has full control of congress.

At least with Steve Bannon getting Chief Strategist and advisor, there's something for all of us. I should stop second guessing the Trump man. All his moves have been brilliant.
If it weren't for Ryan, I would have liked Priebus better.

Trump was very deliberate in announcing them both simultaneously and saying they were equal.
He knew he could only get away with it that way.

For chief of staff, which is really on the outer perimeter of inner circle. Steve Brannons nomination is above Reince, and has Trump's ear. Look at it like other moves Trump had made before he got elected.
He needs an insider to get shit done in Congress, what good would it be for Trump to nominate say Brannon for CoS, and no one in Washington would work with him? How effective would his policy initiatives be then?
Wait until he fills the rest of his cabinet positions before criticizing, I'm not fan of Reince but I can see why politically that he did it.

If an "insider" is "needed" to "get things done," then he should have appointed Paul Ryan! See the logic of that?

Will you tell me to "keep waiting" when he appoints (((Mnuchin))) as Treasury Secretary? Or maybe it will be (((Jamie Dimon)))?

I dont think Augustus Caesar would've made the same mistake in putting N.J. governor Chris Christie in a chief of staff position.
If he did make some similar error nobody would've been privy to it.
To me it looks like Trump is stumbling his way into office, Giuliani is like hiring Brutus.

Trump has a habit of saying things like that off the cuff. If people are not attacking him and generally cordial, he calls them good people. It is reciprocation for being on good terms. He is not yet president and has no authority, yet, to do anything. What good would it do to get them riled up, make Obama bring out the mass pardon scenario, and let them set their defenses while undermining Trump as he tries to set up his new team. This is the time to appear harmless and humble.

To vote for someone in a democratic republic or in a city council position, or in a church bible study to be the leader, is NOT to put all your faith in them for your salvation. It is an administrative role for the smooth operation of a system or organization in fulfilling its purposes. Sure there are varying degrees of importance and varying levels of commitment.
One candidate promised before man and God to do good things. One candidate promised to do continued evil things. Is there really any question about what the choice should be? And if the one promising good things was lying, that will all be tied together in the final judgment. We do not align ourselves with the evil, but with the good promised. If that fails to happen, we have no alignment with the candidate.

You should not vote for promises; you should vote for a man (or woman). Yes, we are all flawed, but some show guilt and repentance for lying, and most do not.
We have gotten to this point of disaster because people voted for promises. They insisted on overlooking the gross character defects of those making the promises. "I like what I hear" instead of "I am impressed by what I can see in their actions."
Trump owes the American people an explanation as to why he appointed Reince Priebus as his most important cabinet member. That's not "draining the swamp." Oh, and everyone, please cut the crap about "he needs him" to work with the swamp.
