President-elect Donald Trump’s wife and young son will not be moving to the White House with him when he is inaugurated as the 45th president in January, according to a report. The New York Post reports that Melania Trump and Barron Trump will stay at their penthouse apartment in Trump Tower in New York City so that Barron can continue attending his private school. “Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” a source close to the transition team told the Post. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.” Melania Trump will reportedly travel to Washington as needed. The arrangement will require heavy security in and around Trump Tower.

On a call with reporters later Sunday morning, communications director Jason Miller said it has not yet been decided whether Barron and Melania will stay in New York, but added there is “obvious sensitivity” in pulling Barron, 10, from his school in the city’s upper west side before the end of the school year. NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell later reported (https://twitter.com/KellyO/status/800367454396514304) that the pair will move to the White House at the end of the school year in mid-2017. Miller said the Trump transition team will be releasing a formal statement on the matter soon.

I don't blame her for not wanting to move into that dump. It must have looked like a crack house to her, probably smelled too.

Hahaha... that is what I was telling my wife. A total degrade to their well being. Don will fumigate the places he will be in and have them decorated, the rest who knows. By the end of Barrons school year will give about 6 months to get the place in order. I feel bad for the kid, he looks left out in comparison to the rest of Dons kids.

I think it's great that she cares for her son so much, and wants to keep him in the same school to finish the year. They really seem to be a good family, with good family values. Plus, Trump is the type of guy that, as soon as elected, will get right to work. He'll likely be working 20 hour days anyway, so he will be plenty busy, and at least temporarily will not have much time for family. That is a sacrifice from him, and should be noted, especially when he's not even taking a salary for the job.

Surprised this didn't come out during campaign.

If AF1 is a bucket of shit it's because of hauling the presstitude scum around.

I wonder how Trump will get around flying in that piece of shit and using the Trump jet?

The world doesn't know it yet, I don't think Trump is going to fly around the world to meet the nations leaders. He is going to tell them to come and see him in the White House. He's already said this in the past, he sees it as a waste of his valuable time that he can be working to make America great again.

I wonder what the real story is? What kid wouldn't want to live in the White House? Wants to stay in his school? LOL - sure.

And so much for shrinking government. The taxpayers will be funding two Secret Service defensible zones 24/7/365, and the one in New York will cause permanent traffic nightmares.

But look at the bright side: Trump will have plenty of female interns to "assist" him.

Yeah, a bucket of shit. Even before the cleaning is done, AF1 is over twice the size, faster, with virtually unlimited range due to air refueling, has anti-missile defense systems, and has total access to every form of communication to every point on Earth.

Trump's was a used 757, BTW...just with gold plating. Oh, wait, I meant, "pre-owned."

So what's the problem you have with buying a good used aircraft and refurbing it to your tastes vs. buying a new one?? From what I've noticed Trump never buys new aircraft, he always buys good serviceable aircraft and refurbs 'em. Seems like a good business savvy to me.

It's 25-years old, four previous owners. Not sure of flight time, but it's got plenty of hours considering its history. DJT Operations bought it in 2011, at 20-years old.

To be fair, he appears to maintain it well:

If I were in the market, I'd have no issues whatsoever buying a well maintained 20-30 year old King Air C90 or B200 with reasonable hours and cycles on it, and no history of accidents or incidents.

Preferably one needing new turbines -

Melania and Barron are moving into the White Wouse once the current school year finishes, in July or something (and after the cleaners get the Obama smell out).

Smaller aircraft like that almost always have far less fatigue, uh, flight hours on them. :)
