Forty members of the Electoral College on Tuesday signed a letter demanding an intelligence briefing on Russian interference in the election ahead of their Dec. 19 vote.

Ten electors originally signed the letter (https://extranewsfeed.com/bipartisan-electors-ask-james-clapper-release-facts-on-outside-interference-in-u-s-election-c1a3d11d5b7b#.w78qncami) when it was published Monday, and 30 more have since added their names.

The open letter — led by Christine Pelosi, the daughter of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) — urged Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to give a detailed briefing on President-elect Donald Trump (http://thehill.com/people/donald-trump)'s ties to Russia.

“We further require a briefing on all investigative findings, as these matters directly impact the core factors in our deliberations of whether Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States,” the letter read. The Clinton campaign applauded the effort Monday, saying it had repeatedly warned about Russian interference aimed at swaying the election in Trump’s favor.

“Despite our protestations, this matter did not receive the attention it deserved by the media in the campaign,” Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said in a statement. “We now know that the CIA has determined Russia's interference in our elections was for the purpose of electing Donald Trump. This should distress every American.”

The signees of the letter are all Democratic electors, aside from one Republican: Chris Suprun from Texas.

Suprun has already pledged not to vote for Trump, and claimed last week that other Republican electors plan to pick an alternative, too.

Bipartisan efforts in Congress are underway to investigate the CIA’s conclusion that Russian interference swayed the election in Trump’s favor.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (http://thehill.com/people/mitch-mcconnell) (R-Ky.) on Monday said the Senate Intelligence Committee should investigate the findings.

“We’re going to follow the regular order,” he said. “It’s an important subject and we intend to review it on a bipartisan basis.”

My gosh! How is it that Podesta is able to have any say in what events occur?

He should be looking for a safe place to avoid a noose at this point.

The only thing this compares to is the French Revolution, many of those actors were forcibly silenced within a few years.

Serious despiration has no ends until the end. Fear is a greater force and showing boldly.

California has 55 Electorates, so I guess 40 of those 55 are still trying to change an election outcome.

I could see if Trump was hiring a special prosecutor, he already turned that away though.

Don't know about that but it looks like a lot of heads will hang if he makes it in. This is a heavier war than WW2 right now. Unprecidented, worth watching.

I think they should focus their efforts on California leaving US instead, they would have a greater chance of avoiding being under president Trump with that!

Southern California and Clark County Nevada should leave the Union. We have some good people in Northern California and Northern Nevada.

I haven't been to San Fancisco in years, but the last time I was there it was overrun with faggots and lesbians. I don't think the rest of Northern California would complain if it went with Southern California.

Yeah, I fell into that 'neocon funk' awhile back, but I'm over it now. I don't think he's gone 'neocon' at all, I think he's being very shrewd and he has the Clinton and Globalist cabal in full panic mode. Besides, 39 democrat electors and one republican elector asking for a briefing on alledged russian involvement isn't gonna change anything. Anyway, both of those stories a "fake news".

San Francisco is in Silicon valley:

Proposed states (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Californias#North_California)[edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Six_Californias&action=edit&section=4)]

Six Californias would have divided the state's 58 counties (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_counties_in_California) among six new states: Jefferson (based on the historic State of Jefferson proposal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_(proposed_Pacific_state))), North California, Silicon Valley, Central California, West California, and South California.[9] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Californias#cite_note-rtr-9)

Jefferson[edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Six_Californias&action=edit&section=5)]

See also: Jefferson (proposed Pacific state) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_(proposed_Pacific_state))
The state of Jefferson would have been created from the far north part of California, bordering Oregon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon), consisting of fourteen counties: Butte (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butte_County,_California), Colusa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colusa_County,_California), Del Norte (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Del_Norte_County,_California), Glenn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_County,_California), Humboldt (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humboldt_County,_California), Lake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_County,_California), Lassen (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lassen_County,_California), Mendocino (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mendocino_County,_California), Modoc (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modoc_County,_California), Plumas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumas_County,_California), Siskiyou (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siskiyou_County,_California), Shasta (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shasta_County,_California), Tehama (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tehama_County,_California), and Trinity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_County,_California).[20] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Californias#cite_note-6CA-20) Unlike the historic State of Jefferson proposal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_(proposed_Pacific_state)), this new state would not include any territory from Oregon.

West California[edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Six_Californias&action=edit&section=9)]

The state of West California would have been south of Silicon Valley and Central California, and west of the current San Bernardino County. It would have consisted of four counties: Santa Barbara (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Barbara_County,_California), San Luis Obispo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Luis_Obispo_County,_California), Los Angeles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_County,_California) and Ventura (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventura_County,_California).[20] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Californias#cite_note-6CA-20)

South California[edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Six_Californias&action=edit&section=10)]

The state of South California (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_California_(proposed_U.S._state)) would have been made up of the southernmost part of the state. It would have consisted of five counties: Imperial (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_County,_California), Orange (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_County,_California), Riverside (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riverside_County,_California), San Bernardino (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Bernardino_County,_California) and San Diego (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_County,_California).[20] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Californias#cite_note-6CA-20)
