Admission 50 cents. I assume these are fireworks displays rather than aerial but they sound pretty intricate.

There didn't seem to be a lot of circulating coinage during that time. I expect then (like during the depression) one dollar was the value of a man's labor for a day. Half a days labor to watch fireworks still seems pretty steep but then they didn't have drive in theaters for entertainment.
