As Christian families gather by the tree to celebrate on Christmas Day, Jews get comfy with a good movie and Chinese take-out. But on Christmas Eve? The Jews party — and we're not talking extra glasses of Manischewitz.

At least, the ones who are looking for love live it up. Over the past three decades, the night before Christmas has steadily grown to become the biggest evening of the year for Jewish singles, who have a slew of tribe-member-only parties to attend — where they can possibly meet The One.

From the punnily-named Matzoball to the gay Jew fest Jewbilee, the snowy night's fetes make for a matchmaking extravaganza that would surely make Bubbe proud.

Matzoball

This multi-city event is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2016 with parties in New York, Fort Lauderdale, LA, Miami, DC, Philadelphia, Boston, and Delray Beach, Florida.

The first big event of its kind, Matzoball launched in Boston in 1987 when founder Andrew Rudnick organized a party for his Jewish friends on Christmas Eve— and since then, it's grown to over 3,000 people in its biggest locations, like New York and Miami.

Held in swanky ballrooms and nightclubs and arguably the most widely-known Jewish singles event of the night, the Matzo Ball has a reputation as a great spot for hook-ups — but it has also led to its share of relationships and even marriages.

The next generation of customers: The Matzoball has led to many marriages, and some couples who have met there have even gone on to have children that later went themselves

'The most rewarding emails we get are those that say, "Hey, I met someone last year and we’re engaged!" Jaime Blanke, the party's National Event Director, told Daily Mail Online. 'Or we have people who write us and say, "We met 27 years ago at a Matzoball, and now our kids are going!"'

Last year, the organization even arranged for a man to propose on live TV to a woman he met at the ball the previous year.

And for 2016, New York's event will be hosted by Instagram's @CrazyJewishMom and her daughter Kate, and in the past the event has been hosted by The Fat Jew, also of Instagram fame. Tickets cost between $30 and $100.

The Ball

Not to be confused with the Matzo Ball, The Ball is hosted by Let My People Go and attracts crowds of over 3,000 people in New York City. It also hosts parties in across the US and in Canada.

Called the 'Christmas Eve gold standard' by The New York Post and the 'mother of all Jewish Singles parties' by TimeOut, The Ball is actually so big that it hosts parties at several different trendy clubs simultaneously, and offers free limo service for club-hoppers with the 'Jewniversal Pass'.

There are also separate parties for different age groups: One for 21- to 45-year-olds, and another for 35- to 55-year-olds. Tickets run from $30-40.

Jewbilee

Over 1,000 foreskin-free men looking to bring home a nice Jewish boy gather yearly at this New York City soirée, which welcomes both gay Jews and 'bagel chasers' — that is, gentiles who are interested in Jews.

The midtown party also includes musical performances, including one by the semitically-named Lady SinAGaGa last year. Tickers are $15 to $25.

The company behind the event, Hebro, hosts other gay Jewish singles events year-round as well, including High Homodays (around the High Holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur), Homotashen (named after the Purim cookie, hamentashen), and Sederlicious (around Passover).

Jewess Eve

This lesbian Jewish singles event is new to the Christmas Eve party scene, and also opens its doors to the Jewish trans community in New York.

Held at the rooftop lounge above Jewbilee, Jewess Eve is only in its second year and promises both hot Jewesses and shiksas (non-Jewish girls) for $15 per ticket.

For a full night of activities, the celebration also serves as the official after party for the Menorah Horah, a burlesque show starring the Schlep Sisters.

Falafel Frenzy

Falafel Frenzy in Washington, D.C. encourages attendees to 'put your falafel balls to good use', as 100 per cent of the $30 entrance price will be donated to The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

The local charity supports hunger action programs and care for poverty-stricken Holocaust survivors.

And it's not just singles who come to schmooze at this gathering in the nation's capital — couples are welcome too.

care for poverty-stricken Holocaust survivors

Whoa, WTF is this?!

"Poverty-stricken"?!

How can they be "poverty-stricken" when they all get mandatory "reparations" exceeding the average Goyish American's Social Security Retirement benefit?

Sounds like an extension of Greater Israel?

Maybe they invested with Bernie Madoff?
