For those following today's Electoral College vote, here is the latest vote tally as of 2:15pm ET:

183 electoral votes had been cast for Trump,
103 electoral votes had been cast for Hillary Clinton.

So far that's in line with That's right in line with the results in the 26 states that have already cast their official Electoral College votes. On election day, Trump won 306 electoral votes on Election Day to Clinton's 232.
Those looking for surprises in today's vote will be disappointed, at least so far: all of the electors in Indiana, Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, Georgia, Alabama, Wisconsin and Oklahoma voted for Trump, as per their states' votes on Election Day. Illinois, Vermont, Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Maryland and New Hampshire have all backed Clinton, in line with their states' votes.

First "Faithless Elector" Emerges In Minnesota, Refuses To Vote For Hillary Clinton
For all the anticipatory rhetoric about a potential wave of Electors refusing to endorse Trump, it may come as a surprise that the first "faithless elector" to emerge in Monday's Electoral College vote was in Minnesota has refused to vote not for Trump but for Hillary Clinton.
As the Hill reports (http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/311055-minnesota-elector-refuses-to-back-clinton), Muhammad Abdurrahman, a former Bernie Sanders delegate to the Democratic National Convention, attempted to vote for no candidate, according to The Associated Press's Kyle Potter.

More Faithless Electors...oops.. against Clinton, again.

Dec 19, 2016 3:47 PM EST Four Democratic voters in Washington chose not to vote for Hillary Clinton, becoming "faithless" voters. Clinton took the other 8 votes in the state. Three Democratic electors have tried to be "faithless" by not voting for Clinton. One in Maine, one in Minnesota and one in Colorado. Those votes were changed and registered for Clinton.

Faithless Elector

From the AP: "Maine Democratic elector casts vote for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders for president instead of Hillary Clinton."

The Maine elector who voted for Bernie Sanders has his vote ruled "improper." He has switched the vote to Clinton.

What "coup" is that? This transition was done in accordance with the law, including the Constitution. The Clinton Machine is who attempted - and failed - at a coup.

Both political parties were subdued and a huge amount of power shifted hands.

I agree with you though a Clinton win would have been a coup as well.

Whether one likes Trump or not, this is the "peaceful transition of power" that the Constitution has called for for over 200 years.

The Clinton Machine attempted to subvert that system, and hilariously had it backfire on them - instead of dozens of Republican electors voting against him, 4 Washington state Democrat electors refused to vote for her, 1 in Maine attempted to vote for Sanders, 1 in Minnesota attempted to vote for "no candidate." Only 2 Republicans in Texas voted for Kasich and Ron Paul, instead of Trump.

“Normally a political footnote, the electoral vote took on unexpected import this winter after Mr. Trump’s upset of Hillary Clinton, who won the popular vote, spawned a determined effort to block his path to the presidency by grass-roots advocates who saw him as unfit for the White House and, to some, a threat to the political system.”

I disagree, I think we avoided an attempted coup at the ballot box using the internet alternate media. The legacy media has no legs any longer and has alienated both the left and the right with their failings and lies
