how about a volcano of oil spewing into gom? bp oil spill was end of world.....it was doing like 60,000 barrels PER DAY...and that estimate is probably low....less than 3,000 bbl per hour. we routinely load ships at 10,000 to 20,000 barrels per hour...so hard to buy that low flow rate with the high pressure of the reservoir pushing it out

I don't know, the closest i've been to a volcanic eruption was back in 1980 when Mount Saint Helens blew.

We are over 700 miles away and for a good week it snowed volcanic ash on us from the southwest.

I think he was incorrect in saying "gamma ray wave". Gamma would be at the speed of light which is the first warning. The shock wave is different.
