if she can't hear she can't sync or even sing properly for that matter. And pretty much no one sings live anymore doing cabaret style. Dancing and singing is going to leave you pretty breathless. I'd guess they probably run a voice channel with a studio recording on the mixer as well that they can fade in/out. I think at best a lot of shows are a mix of tracks where some have live voice and some are lip sync. If something goes wrong or give the singer a break between tracks they might fade the voice channel in for a while. If the crowds going wild they won't pick up on it.

I think what she did was brilliant, actually. They unplugged her, so she couldn't perform. She basically said fuck it, and showed the whole world how rigged and programmed modern music really is. It's all an act. She could have tried to fake it...she didn't. She knew they did that to her on purpose. You can see it in her face...so she showed everyone the big scam.

Good for her. Tough night, but standing up like that earns my respect.
