Legalisms are used to paper over blatant immorality.
Abortion is murder, period. But, the unborn is not the business of the 'state.' It is mother's choice. And she must deal with the moral, ethical and psychological consequences of aborting an unborn human being.

This should be the only sanctioned DIY abortion. Takes care of two problems with one trigger pull.

Cognitive dissonance.
Abortion is murder or it is not. If it is homicide, it must be prevented as much as possible, and punished when carried out.
If abortion murder is "a woman's choice," then why is killing you not "my choice" instead of that of "the state"?

Fred, it's not possible to legislate morality. If you think it's possible to do so then perhaps you should consider becoming a fundi moozlim 'cause you'd fit right in there if that's what you think.

Fred, it's not possible to legislate morality.
So, you propose legalizing all crimes. Ah...
Murder: legal.
Rape: legal.
Robbery: legal.
It's up to the thug to "deal with the moral, ethical and psychological consequences." While he laughs that his aim was accomplished.

Fred, despite being reasonably intelligent you're capable of posting some of the most moronic shit sometimes. It's truly a stunning contrast.

You of all people understand the concept of malum in se. Murder is wrong, period, and every society has punished it. One of the traits of a civilization is to uphold justice. Cultural Bolshevism or faggy cowardice claiming "you can't legislate morality" is the mark of an anti-human or fellow traveler or useful idiot. Which are you?

for centuries long many women were ready to die from a botched abortion, so it will not go away completely.
I agree with MR here but as long as war exists, forget about drastically decreasing the abortion rate by at least 75%. As long as people see govs endorsing legalized genocides, why would they really care at all?

Which are you?If the 'state' forbids abortion by law, it imposes de facto jurisdiction over the unborn child - it is now a legal subject with civil rights. This is a massive massive slippery slope that should make the lawyers and judges salivate at the prospects of never ending prosecutions. Once the unborn becomes 'property' of the state, all manner of potential criminal acts become possible. For example, the state could prosecute a pregnant woman for improper prenatal diet, alcohol consumption, smoking, drugs both legal and illegal etc. In the absolute, any consumption of processed foods by a pregnant woman could constitute negligence and child abuse because processed foods contain toxic substances detrimental to the unborn's health and development. Consider the likelihood of pregnant women being issued summons and even incarceration for consuming alcohol, drugs or even a Twinky while pregnant. The latter is arguably the most toxic.

If the 'state' forbids murder by law, it imposes de facto jurisdiction over mamboni - he is now a legal subject with civil rights.
Your doublethink is incredible. But then, you do believe the Earth is flat.

Your doublethink is incredible. But then, you do believe the Earth is flat. The unborn don't possess a SS number and don't pay taxes. IOW, they are invisible to the state. You seem determined to thrust these unborn into the clutches of the state.
Yes, the earth is flat. I know of numerous proofs of it. You, I'll assert, cannot present a single proof based upon primary knowledge to support your globe earth fantasy.

Your hatred of "the state" is irrational to the point of preferring the unborn to be slaughtered in the womb over extending them the protection against malum in se crime, i.e., murder.
Government is not the problem. Who runs the government, and why, is the problem.
You are unable, for whatever reason, to understand that anarchy is no better than total government, and that government in service to the Nation - a balanced, limited government, is beneficial, nay, necessary.

The unborn child already has civil rights IF the mother wants it. More than one person has been prosecuted for vehicular homicide after causing a wreck that kills an unborn child. The same unborn child that could be legally murdered if the mother didn't want it.

I hardly think the solution to abortion is more laws.

Says he that already enjoys the full protection of Pennsylvania CSA Title 18 § 2502.
http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/LI/consCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&ttl=18&div=0&chpt=25
No new law is needed. Simply apply § 2502 (in Pennsylvania).
In fact, "more laws" are actually used to protect abortion from the self-explanatory definition in the statute of murder. Exceptions (many extra statutes) must be carved out for 1) mothers; 2) physicians; and 3) other health professionals to protect them from prosecution under murder (and manslaughter) statutes.
I'm arguing for fewer laws.

They say the women has the right to kill her unborn baby out of convenience, but it is not the women that does the actual killing. She gives that permission to someone else.
