Once you get people to abandon their five senses and their god given reason to interpret what is being sensed. They are in total control. Don't believe in your own lying eyes, it is an illusion, hologram etc. A lot of what he says is true, but you also have to abandon your sense of reality.

I have nothing but disdain for mainstream media, they lie way more than Icke does, and they try to manufacture mainly a geopolitical "reality" through their distorted reporting. But Icke is in a way more dangerous in that he lures people in by reporting a lot of truth, re for instance how mainstream media distorts reality, but he finish it off by telling that there is no reality at all which can be decoded from your five senses. Sure we have all been programmed with mental filters that makes the interpretation or decoding of the data we collect dubious, but saying that the information from the five senses isn't real is in itself a massive filter on our brain.

I am against money but we still live in a world we need it. Icke has COUNTLESS of materials all available for free, one doesn't need to buy his books at all. Many buy them to show support. Also when attending a lecture of his, it's about 120 dollars for a 10-12 hour long show... do the math.
