How many times have we heard this? Nobody seems to notice that "sozialistische" doesn't start with a "Z". If that was seriously the root of the word Nazi, then it would be spelled Nasi.

In German, "National" sounds like "Nazi-onal."."Nasional". Same sound, closer to correct spelling. The "Z" comes from AshkeNAZI.
