she teaches in a public jr high that is 50 percent mexican, 25 black, 25 white. the mexican number has exploded over last decade. many are illegals

the black population at the skool is mostly of the welfare/criminal/blm strain. they break more rules, commit more crimes than the other groups combined.

the skool cannot (or will not) remove these thugs from the classrooms because black discipline has already reached its quota - banishment to the bad skool, suspensions, in school suspensions (the bad class).....are all off-limits because not enough whites/mexicans are getting in trouble.

so the good kids are being terrorized by the black thugs. thugs get written up/sent to office by teacher. the form is ripped up and thug sent back to class. teachers are pissed, classrooms are a circus, good kids terrorized, etc. and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

full credit goes to nyc.dc and their dept of education. partial credit goes to the skool district for cowering in fear of nyc.dc coming down on them

The public schools are a total wipeout. I used to babysit a little kindergarten public school boy and when I would discipline him mildly, he would call me a "fuckin asshole bitch" and he came from a single mom middle class income household, but not Christian, more like big blue city and generationally long time liberal.

I am friends with Dr. Dennis Cuddy and he told me recently that he and some others are working on eliminating the entire Department of Education. Sounds like a good plan to me.

One thing I know, our public schools should be entirely locally controlled and should not be owned by federal diktats and federal strings-attached money. Neither should our local governments. Property tax is a bad way to fund schools because it means you never own your house. You are eternally renting from the government. You can be evicted from your home if you do not pay your property tax but nothing much happens to you if you default on credit card and other kind of debt.

My niece was a high school teacher in Houston, the western nicer part of Houston, and it was a total zoo. She was charged with teaching science and math to a room full of fresh illegal alien children straight from Mexico who did not speak a word of English. That put her basically in the role of room monitor and order keeper but it had zero to do with teaching and learning. One day, a large Black girl created a physical altercation in the classroom and my niece grabbed the girls plastic school student ID badge that was attached to her shirt and held on to the badge leading the girl down the hall to the principal's office. She did not touch the body of the girl. The girl got the NAACP or some organization to claim my niece violated the girl's civil rights or something like that. My niece got a lawyer and made sure her record was kept good and true with the school and the teachers union. Then my niece just resigned at the end of the school year. Just an impossible situation for a well intentioned teacher.

The public schools are a total wipeout. I used to babysit a little kindergarten public school boy and when I would discipline him mildly, he would call me a "fuckin asshole bitch" and he came from a single mom middle class income household, but not Christian, more like big blue city and generationally long time liberal.
Just shows you what language even the youngest ones pick up at the earliest grade. And the truth is he was a good boy who just needed an intact mother and father influence and most of all, a true Christian home.

I am friends with Dr. Dennis Cuddy and he told me recently that he and some others are working on eliminating the entire Department of Education. Sounds like a good plan to me.

One thing I know, our public schools should be entirely locally controlled and should not be owned by federal diktats and federal strings-attached money. Neither should our local governments. Property tax is a bad way to fund schools because it means you never own your house. You are eternally renting from the government. You can be evicted from your home if you do not pay your property tax but nothing much happens to you if you default on credit card and other kind of debt.

My niece was a high school teacher in Houston, the western nicer part of Houston, and it was a total zoo. She was charged with teaching science and math to a room full of fresh illegal alien children straight from Mexico who did not speak a word of English. That put her basically in the role of room monitor and order keeper but it had zero to do with teaching and learning. One day, a large Black girl created a physical altercation in the classroom and my niece grabbed the girls plastic school student ID badge that was attached to her shirt and held on to the badge leading the girl down the hall to the principal's office. She did not touch the body of the girl. The girl got the NAACP or some organization to claim my niece violated the girl's civil rights or something like that. My niece got a lawyer and made sure her record was kept good and true with the school and the teachers union. Then my niece just resigned at the end of the school year. Just an impossible situation for a well intentioned teacher.

just to be clear - texas teachers have no 'union'. they have a loose association that is nothing like a union. it has no power, no influence, no stroke. it's like a professional association that just sends out a newsletter in exchange for for a few frn notes every year

May be a little thread drift but on the general subject of education here are the foundational principles trained in to teachers today.

Thought I would share with you what I think is quite relevant to the topic, an excerpt from an email I received from Beverly Ekkman 16 years ago when I would often listen to her on Dr. Stan Monteith's Radio Liberty shows. Mrs. Eakman has written several books on education and "dialoging to concensus" and other evils the most famous of which is "The Cloining of the American Mind."

"Here’s a seven-point list, faxed to me from an educator in North Carolina. She got it during an inservice training workshop at her school, and it turns out to be representative of the new value system being transmitted in most schools today:

• There is no right or wrong, only conditioned responses.

• The collective good is more important than the individual.

• Consensus is more important than principle.

• Flexibility is more important than accomplishment.

• Nothing is permanent except change.

• All ethics are situational; there are no moral absolutes.

• There are no perpetrators, only victims.
