While immigration advocates say more than 100 people were detained Thursday as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials conducted home raids across three Southern California counties, the federal agency insists its operations were "routine" and not part of President Donald Trump's unprecedented immigration crackdown.
ICE officials have yet to release detailed information on how many people the agency arrested Thursday and where they were taken into custody, only stating that the activities were "targeted and lead driven, prioritizing individuals who pose a risk to our communities," according to ICE spokesperson Lori Haley.
"Examples would include known street gang members, child sex offenders, and deportable foreign nationals with significant drug trafficking convictions," she said in an email. "To that end, ICE’s routine immigration enforcement actions are ongoing."

The organization's attorneys confirmed there is a list of more than 100 people being detained at the ICE processing center in downtown Los Angeles after immigration raids were carried out at homes in Santa Paula, Oxnard, Van Nuys, Downey and San Bernardino, Cabrera said.
Advocates say one man was detained while working at a Target in the San Fernando Valley, while an L.A. police official said the department was not aware of ICE raids taking place Thursday in that area, according to the Los Angeles Times. Roughly 60 of those taken in were Mexican nationals, the newspaper reported.

“It is now clear the Trump Administration is not concerned with public safety, they are only focused on ripping hard-working men, women, and children from their families and communities,” [domestic enemy California Senate President pro Tem Kevin] de León said. “Mass deportations will not make us safer, instead they will simply undermine our state’s economy.

The same Bolshevists - de Leon in particular - have no problem "ripping people from their families" for owning undocumented "assault weapons" (sic).

He'll probably deport a total 30 wetbacks during his entire 4 years. The media will be apoplectic. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands more head North.

So far, only one is confirmed, the identity thief. The rest are "in custody."
But hoarder's point stands. It doesn't matter if it's 30 or 30,000 - there are 30 MILLION to get rid of, and that'll never happen. It's all a show.

We should start deporting all of our violent criminals, whether they are citizens or illegals, let France have them.

Here is Father William Jenkins', traditional Catholic priest, commentary on persons in the U.S. illegally, sanctuary cities, and Cinncinnati, Ohio, mayor saying he will not follow and enforce established immigration law. This talk is not about the so-called Trump "travel ban."
Gives history of bible sanctuary areas for those accused of crime awaiting adjudication. Also gives history of the Iberian pennensula when in 711 the Muslims invaded Spain and how for 700 years Christians fought back and took back Spain and how Jews who also came in to Spain negotiated with Muslims to get more Muslims to come in and re-invade Spain from Morocco. Interesting.
We are to have compassion on people but we can never support those who want to ignore our laws.
California is gone.

Only if they dig their graves first.

You can't get rid of any of them unless you start getting rid of some of them. Once illegals start becoming politically incorrect the American people (certainly not the snowflakes as they'll have their own problems to deal with)will start weeding them out and exposing them. It should be quite entertaining actually

Mass graves will do fine. No need to mess up more of the landscape than necessary. Bury them all then build a golf course over the site

A routine, every so often they check to make sure their known employees are still doing their job. Calif. immigration probably is instructing them on how to maintain employment if faced with any Trump initiatives.
These known have already been processed somehow thru criminal system (sentence served). While remaining in a constant "deportable" state they are more useable than other illegals of lesser illegal status due to record history..

I think it is important to remember that
"ICE’s routine immigration enforcement actions" regarding deportation have been a long-standing joke.
The person is apprehended and has a preliminary deportation hearing and then told to come back the next day for final ruling.
Of course the person disappears and never returns.
For Mexico illegals, I say government bus drive them to border and watch the person enter back into Mexico at official border point.
I think we ought to line up armed gun border officers along an electronic line that goes throughout US - Mexico border and shoot to kill tresspassers
The Wall is a good idea too .
Then you have to probably fire whatever Border Patrol administration and officers necessary to make sure they enforce the existing law. They have not been enforcing the law for over half a century.
As for "immigrants" from other countries who did receive legal entry documentation, they need to be tried and convicted and given the strongest penalties the law allows. Deportation of these people is not an option. We either have to put them in prison or execute them.

These could be the types that protect existing true and only CIA drug cartel, by removing any competing cartel.
Most likely they are required to renew their "agents of shield" status every year or so.
CIA drug cartel is the exact means used and applied to keep immigant populations in check and "assimilating". Without it and assoc. drug law they encounter 30s style mafiosos competing for .gov/bank lending roles.
Same type of limited hangout operation that is applied to race and religious groups.

Going through the courts, however, entails risks for undocumented emigrants, who may be held in U.S. detention centers for months while the deportation process plays out instead of being quickly sent back to Mexico, says Mr. Castaneda.
