Anyone stupid enough to still have "investments" in the System deserves what they get.

2008 made it clear that anything wagered in the Wall Street Casino's stock market, money markets, mutual funds, 401ks, and the like are fully expendable.

It's one thing to wager money in the Wall Street Casino for possible gain, and quite another to "invest" in it, expecting a return.

I blame myself as I knew better but tried to make things right in a rigged system. Back then when I said it was rigged people laughed at me so I just thought I was paranoid... Many digits later I was gone along with all those that laughed at me.

05-07 I played an exceptional game and kept piling it in for retirement. If I only had the menial 1xxK I started with I could be living large LOL. What a fucked up deal.

I retargeted much of my retirement savings into other tangible investments some time ago. I still contribute up to the company match but that's much less than it used to be. If things crash I'm protected from disaster, if they don't then I'm still in that game too. I like to diversify my accumulated wealth (such as it is) wide across many kinds of investments.
