Not saying these sites do not contain some truth but the titles they give are totally misleading and you are often let down after falling for watching the video. You ask, is that all there is. The title leads you to believe something big is actually happening or about to happen and that is continually proven to be just not true.
The more I try to find out what the real news is the more I realize I haven't a clue.
Getting tired of this.

Most of these are self described 'journalists' and I typically can't last more than a minute or so listening to their drivel

Next news network is the worst..
Enticing titles. You think the bearded fat-ass is going to provide evidence for the claims but just gives his thoughts on it.
He is getting millions of hits, I'm sure, because of his false news titles.
If the headline has a video link I won't click it now unless there is a summary of the story and some facts included, because it is almost always this liar and his youtube channel.

His delivery is soooooo Fricken, poor and it takes him years to get to the dam point.
I remember he was sick for several days and another guy covered him I actually liked him a lot and I was hoping that he stayed.
I agree that guy is very bad

I think the bait click thing is interesting. It's clear a lot of YT Posters use it either in their Titles or in the Thumbnails they use... which often don't appear in any part of their videos.
This Oroville dam event was probably the first time I was actively looking for Live streaming news, because I don't have access to US news channels I thought someone would stream something. As a result I was searching YT for Oroville as the event was un folding. I was staggered at the number of OMG The World Ending videos people were posting. Nearly all of them were end is nigh Doom videos portending the deaths of tens of thousands and tsunamis down river etc. And the view numbers were amazing. Tens and hundreds of thousands of views.
I've also seen some other channels for interests that I have, and they always use click bait. I don't watch them because I know it's bait. The thing is though that despite always using click bait they continue to get high views and reading the comments it's clear a lot of people don't like click bait and post they won't be back BUT there is always someone new who hasn't seen the channel.
So while they P a lot of people Off, there's always fresh meat to attract. One of the truest sayings ever: There's a sucker born every minute. YT click bait is proof of that.

More subliminal truthy fake news from BeforeItsNews.com
I cannot see anywhere in this anonymously written BeforeItsNews.com title of
Trump Must Execute the Nuclear Option—There’s No Other Way
has one iota to do with the content of the article. Maybe the title is to send a subliminal message - who knows?
This "alt Right media" website appears to be pushing for nuclear war and that is supposedly what the Left pushes FOR and the Right pushes AGAINST.
This whole article looks like something put out by the CIA, the agency the article writer claims needs Trump to eliminate immediately.

Sure am reluctant to do this but I must add Bill Still to this Click Baiter list of websites. Still has hinted several times lately has amicably linked "the USA and Israel" and how his Christian religion requires him to support Israel.
Not sure why Mr. Still thinks it is fine and dandy that Israel have about 200 undeclared nuclear warheads and has never signed the nuclear nonproliferation agreement but not so much for Iran and other countries around Israel.
Also Mr. Still in this particular video is claiming that Netanayou or whatever has a whole new spiel and it is totally good and totally believable.
This is the one that got him on the list...

BREAKING! (oh that'll 'age' well  )
BOMBSHELL!
MUST SEE/WATCH!!
here's a question: If I spend 1, 2, 5, whatever mins on a 10, 20, 60 min vid before deciding it's not worth my time, does it count as a "view" ??? IOW, is there some threshold of actual viewing time to count as a "view", or does it count the second I hit Play?
Another question: If I have a real joogle/jootube account, where I can leave comments, subscribe, & block; does blocking given YT vloggers also prevent them from appearing in subject searches I do? That would be nice, coz I've recently been doing a lot of pizzagate vid searching, filtering for recent "today" vids, or recent "hour" etc; and guessing 80-90% of search results are re-ups of other people's vids, many/most of which I've already seen! But they re-title it a bit (usu "sexing it up"), DON'T specify it's a re-up, DON'T accredit the original creator/uploader; and DO urge you to like/subscribe. :( If I could filter out re-ups & blocked vloggers, that would be a huge time/annoyance saver!

Will venture some comments in response though I have been blocked from commenting or being in chat rooms for several years and have no clue why.
does it count the second I hit Play? Yes, it counts from the second you hit Play.
does blocking given YT vloggers also prevent them from appearing in subject searches I do? Don't know the answer to that question because I do not have all those capabilities on YT, but seems like this would be easy enough to test for yourself. If you know of several that you have blocked, notice whether those show up in your search results. Test a few times and you should get your answer on that.
filtering for recent "today" vids, or recent "hour" etc; I sure would like to learn how to do that. What exactly search syntax do you use to search videos uploaded today or this hour. I have a hobby of watching very old western movies as well as movies for the 30s and 40s, so sure would like to catch them right after uploading.
But they re-title it a bit (usu "sexing it up"), DON'T specify it's a re-up, DON'T accredit the original creator/uploader; and DO urge you to like/subscribe. If I could filter out re-ups & blocked vloggers,
There is a channel called jsnip4 and he put out a video today complaining about how people do just that with his videos. He was mad because they just put ads in the videos and get money paid to them from YT when people click on those ads so he filed a copyright complaint to make them stop that.
This brings up the whole thing with monetizing videos and getting paid for number of subscribers and likes and clicks on ads. I have heard and do not know the particulars on any of this but unless you listen to the whole ad you click on the channel owner does not get paid anything for that.
YouTube has been playing so many tricks on the homesteader / prepper channels lately that they all have started complaining against YouTube. YT erases hundreds of their subscribers, likes and comments and moves the numbers oddly up and down in strange ways.
What I find strange is that people are fed up with PayPal, Patrion, Amazon and the favored ways these YT channels make money that we won't have anything to do with them anymore. Those good channels that still use them are making themselves look bad and are associating themselves with money making being more important than trying to convey truth.
I do not think YT wants anyone to be able to do efficient searches. They want to muddy the waters as much as they can. Google searches have shown the same signs lately too.
This is a bit off subject but I had a circumstance recently that makes me think that PayPal actually runs fake retail websites of women's clothing and other stuff women like to buy online and that the whole operation is somehow to gather information about the person and their credit card and other info and that the retail opperation is just a cover. The products are not at all as advertised and are worth far less than advertised because of very cheap quality and lots of problems in trying to return or get a refund, i.e., no customer service. It is not a real Chinese company trying to sell and make a profit, it is a PayPal type company ripping info on people and getting some databases filled. There are so so many misrepresentations with these sites and some are even made to appear to be UK or US businesses.

I just have a number of YT channels bookmarked; I don't log into the associated joomail account, coz it's all about being tracked & datamined. So I don't do sub's, and the 3-4 comments I've left at YT vids are suspect of not being visible to anyone but me-- as I described in greater detail recently elsewhere (??). So "testing" the question about blocked vloggers appearing in search results or not... not easy for me, given my privacy goals. Even if I learned blocked vloggers were blocked from search results, I don't think I'd do it, coz it would require being logged in & thus datamined.
Can users with "properly logged in YT accounts" block vloggers anyways? I know a vlogger can block commenter/trolls; but can a non channel/vid uploading end user like me, block click-bait vloggers who I've never had any communication with whatsoever?
Yes, it counts from the second you hit Play.
how do you know? In the time you spend watching a vid, dozens of others may have also launched it!
Good to hear that vids with ads, don't pay the vlogger unless you open the ad. I uniformly X-out or "Skip Ad" all ads-- not only are they annoying, but again it boils down to datamining, and I want to give them as little as possible. So I don't click on any ads, even those which vaguely interest me; I can search them up separately!
As to filters, I do a general search for say, "pizzagate." Then near the top of the initial results page, there's a "filters" drop down menu, in which you'll find "last hour", "today", etc. Once you select one of those, it'll refill the results page applying your filter.
As to YT's "bandit re-upper/monetizer" blight; I've also see several original creator/uploaders bemoan them. It seems YT could have some rudimentary, automated content checker, only needs to match (a sampling of) the vid's bits & bytes (1's & 0's), with other content already available. Start with filtering by the exact mins/seconds length, then maybe "similarity" of key title words, then bang, re-ups blocked... esp those which bandits are seeking to monetize. Give bandits a temp ban, then perm. Double edged sword though, considering how many vids they block due to BS "political agenda" reasons; but it's too late; there's 100 re-ups all over YT & other video platforms.

Thanks for info about filtering will try soon.
I don't know anything for absolute sure about YT. I just observe and think that's the way it is understood to work.
I have a feeling we are seeing the end of YT as we have known it. All mixed in with google garbage these days.
