Whether it's the Italian mafia or a random household, no one really likes a rat around them. The fact that they can always sneak behind your back and completely freak you out is probably the reason why everyone's so desperate to get rid of them.
A group of roommates from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh encountered a similar situation. Theirs was a case where a rat - not half as cute as Ratatouille in real life - was tormenting their house. And the girls needed a permanent solution.
But, instead of calling an exterminator, the four girls decided to take on the rat themselves. The girls concocted an ingenious plan and prepared for battle, patching up every opening in their home but the front door.
We came up with this ridiculous plan to get this rat out of our house and IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!!! BYE BITCH pic.twitter.com/c5qW76mzP8 (https://t.co/c5qW76mzP8)

While one roommate coaxed the rat out with a broom, another ruthlessly smacked it down a flight of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, another roommate was stationed who took one last swipe at the rodent, knocking it right out the door.
One of the girls, Jody Mackin, shared the hilarious video of their victorius act against the poor rat on Twitter, which has since gone viral.

Now, that's a unique way of dealing with a rat - one that required teamwork, timing and precision. I bet, their parents must be so proud.
