An Augusta man has been connected to two North Augusta home invasions in which the robber held the residents at gunpoint and demanded valuables.

Javier West, 25, is in the Aiken County Detention Center on double counts of kidnapping, burglary and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

According to the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, West broke into a home about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Winburn Street while the occupants were sleeping.

According to an incident, the couple who lived there woke to the sound of bangs from the rear of the residence. A man in all black clothing then came into their bedroom, turned on the light and pointed a gun at them and demanded cash, specifically “the hundreds.” When the couple told him they didn’t have any money, he demanded the woman’s jewelry. He also looked under the couple’s mattress and made them turn off their phones.

In that case, a man kicked in the door of the residence while a couple was eating dinner. He pointed a gun at them and demanded “everything.” The male victim told police the bandit forced him to disconnect his Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 and then struck him in the head with the gun. The bandit also made the couple flip the couch cushions and do factory resets to their phones.

He left with the electronics as well as the female victim’s wallet, a bookbag and a cell phone.

2 Suspects In Custody, 1 at Large in String of Home Invasion Robberies: Police

Two suspects are behind bars in connection to a string of home invasion robberies across Collin and Denton counties that is now being investigated by federal authorities, as they search for a third suspect, according to Aubrey police.

The Plano Police Department first alerted the public on Jan. 31 of two home invasions that happened in their city during the month of January.

In each case, an adult male was home alone when multiple suspects entered the house and assaulted them, stole items from the home, and took off in the victim's vehicle, according to Plano police spokesperson Officer David Tilley.

Authorities also connected this to a home invasion in Frisco where the circumstances were similar.

TUCSON-It's one of the most dangerous and violent home invasion groups Tucson police has investigated in recent memory.

Tucson police said this group is tied into homicides, drugs and money laundering.

They've arrested nearly half a dozen people.

They call themselves "Los Carlos." Police said the home invasion crew is named after Carlos Garcia the current leader of the group.

"Los Carlos" crew is linked to 15 home invasions. Detective Ahlskog added, for every home invasion that's reported, we believe there's an additional five to ten that go unreported. So simple math would say somewhere between 75 to 150 home invasions could be linked to this group.”

How many of these victims had firearms at the ready combined with common sense?

I know anyone can be caught off-guard, but I'd bet most of these folks are not Nigger- and Spic-wise, and if they do have firearms, they are compliantly locked up and unloaded.

thanks for bringing that up. are you talking about a dog that will attack strangers, or just alert? and how do you get the 'right' dog?

Even in CA, you can conceal carry in your own home. A small revolver can stop one threat, and if there are more can give you time to get to a long gun or a shotgun if well planned.

Depends on what you're wanting. There are dogs that simply alert while there on others that will start biting anyone in their territory without any warning whatsoever, i.e. sans barking. In Texas one has to be careful about the later as there is a liability insurance requirement for dogs deemed 'dangerous'.

Posted this previously, love this clip of this Rhodesian Ridgeback (unfortunately as with other 'protection' type dogs the *show dog* people have ruined yet another breed with Ridgebacks by breeding the aggression out of 'em - if you are wanting a *serious* high aggression dog PM me) the Ridgeback in this video shows what he's made of starting at 1:00 -

Two women were arrested at the scene of a home invasion in Boise early Saturday morning after one was found in violation of probation and the other crashed into a Boise Police Department patrol car while driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a BPD press release.

Police responded to a report of shots fired on the 2800 block of Rosehill Street around 1 a.m. Saturday, the release said. A suspect reportedly forced his way into the home, and shots were fired after a confrontation. Police did find evidence of shots fired but are still trying to determine who fired them. They’re also still seeking the home invasion suspect, who detectives say likely knows the victims. The suspect was not identified.

Enjoy the low - not non-existent - crime rate, while it lasts.

The White population ratio of Ada County continues to decline. Boise State is only 75% White.

Any city is unacceptable. Rural Idaho is fine...such as Shami's Magic Valley.

Just make sure a gun is nearby at ALL TIMES, people do this with this with their cell phones, so why not a gun?
Just a small one is all you need, the sound of it going off might be just the ticket to send those niglets running

Yep!! If I find them in my house I don't want them to run, I'll 'shoot' for something more permanent.

Like Ted Nugent once said, I don't like repeat offenders, I like dead offenders!
