According to the Times, the bill handed to Merkel was thought to be for more than $300 billion. It was reportedly calculated by adding the amounts by which Germany have fallen short on annual payments to NATO since 2002 — and adding interest.

Donald Trump is insistent that other Nato countries increase their military spendingALEX WONGDonald Trump handed the German chancellor Angela Merkel a bill — thought to be for more than £300bn — for money her country “owed” Nato for defending it when they met last weekend, German government sources have revealed.
The bill — handed over during private talks in Washington — was described as “outrageous” by one German minister.
“The concept behind putting out such demands is to intimidate the other side, but the chancellor took it calmly and will not respond to such provocations,” the minister said.
Trump has criticised a number of Nato countries — Germany among them — for insufficient military spending, leaving America to pick up more than its fair share of the tab. He wants them to honour a commitment made in 2014 to…

I didn't think Bill was worth 300 billion even when he was president. But if they will accept him good riddance.

Maybe we should include Obama in the deal? Just to sweeten the pot so to speak?

Is there any difference between NATO and NWO? I'm not surprised to see Trumpwitz doing their bidding.

A truly nationalist German government would not only not pay the "bill," it would tell the multiracial mess of the US military to get the Hell out.

America has wanted to be in Germany since 1945, as an occupation force. Germans didn't ask for them. And the damage the US military has done to Germany is incalculable.

Good, let's start pulling out immediately. Most Americans would have no problem with that! America doesn't want to be there. American politicians do!

Most Americans really have no clue what countries we have permanent military bases in. The small minority that does know doesn't want us to be there, and yes for most politicians, the permanent occupation of foreign countries is an unquestionable aspect of national "defense."

Actually I think Trump wants Germany to pay part of the cost for invading Iraq and Afghanistan for Israel...

White House disputes report that Trump gave Merkel a $374 billion bill to honor NATO agreementhttp://ei.marketwatch.com//Multimedia/2017/03/27/Photos/ZH/MW-FI993_gold_20170327123137_ZH.jpg?uuid=d945664c-130a-11e7-9cf0-001cc448aede Did Trump take Germany's coin?

The White House denied reports on Sunday that President Donald Trump gave German Chancellor Angela Merkel a $374 billion invoice for money her country owed the US for NATO defense.
The Times of London published (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/germany-dismisses-white-houses-intimidating-300bn-bill-for-defence-dl7dk629k) a story citing anonymous German officials who said Trump gave Merkel the bill during their meeting in Washington last week.
"No, this is not true," the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, said when Business Insider asked the White House for comment.
The Times cited one anonymous German minister as calling the exchange "outrageous" and saying "the concept behind putting out such demands is to intimidate the other side, but the chancellor took it calmly and will not respond to such provocations."
NATO members have agreed to contribute spending of at least 2% of gross domestic product to their military, though Germany contributes only 1.2% (http://www.economist.com/blogs/graphicdetail/2017/02/daily-chart-11). The US, on the other hand, contributes 3.6% — almost double the requirement. Trump, like President Barack Obama before him, has demanded that NATO members pay their agreed-upon share (http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/donald-trump-congress-speech-nato-235543).
After the meeting with Merkel, Trump doubled down (http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-says-he-had-a-great-meeting-with-merkel-2017-3) on his desire for Germany to up its contribution. "Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany!" the president tweeted on March 18.

Despite what you have heard from the FAKE NEWS, I had a GREAT meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Nevertheless, Germany owes.....

Trump has called NATO "obsolete" and long criticized allies for not contributing to defense spending and fighting terrorism, though NATO experts have countered that claim.
"After 9/11, NATO's main vocation became fighting terrorism in Afghanistan," Alexander Vershbow, the former deputy secretary general of NATO, told The New York Times (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/15/world/europe/donald-trump-nato.html) in January. "It is now heavily engaged in training the militaries of many Middle Eastern countries to help them fight terrorism in their own backyard."
That sentiment was echoed by Trump's own defense secretary, retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, in his testimony before Congress during his confirmation hearing. Mattis said at his hearing (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/12/us/politics/james-mattis-defense-secretary-nominee.html) that NATO was essential to American safety and national security.
In its report saying Trump gave Merkel an invoice for NATO spending, The Times of London said the White House had arrived at the final figure of $374 billion by starting at 2002 and calculating "the extent to which German defense spending had fallen short of the 2% target each year" and adding the amount together, including interest.
A source close to Merkel who was cited by The Times of London was characterized as being "dismissive" of the alleged bill.
"The president has a very unorthodox view on NATO defense spending," the source said. "The alliance is not a club with a membership fee. The commitments relate to countries' investment in their defense budgets."
The report said Merkel ignored the "provocation." The German chancellor has committed, however, to higher defense spending by Germany.

I love how Trump pisses off all these 'world leaders'. He sees how these fools have led the world and what a mess the world is in right now; so he has zero respect for them. They're lucky he even gives them an audience. Obama is the Wussification of America poster boy!!!

This graph details what funds were being directed towards, instead of robbing Peter to pay Paul.

The Trump novelty were robbing Gunther to restrain Juan.
