Jews and Christian friends celebrated the Seder at the White House, it will be interesting to see how many Jews show up for the Easter dinner?

Press Secretary Sean Spicer also draws fire for Holocaust denial comment;

White House also fumbles annual Easter Egg roll

By Miriam Raftery

April 11, 2017 (Washington D.C.) – The annual White House Seder dinner marking the start of Passover was held on Monday with Jewish staffers and friends. But President Donald Trump did not attend, even though he was reportedly at home in the White House at the time.

Nor did any member of the Trump family participate, not even his Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kuschner, or Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, who practices Judaism.

President Barack Obama began the tradition and joined the White House Seder, along with his family, for all eight years of his presidency.

Trump’s snub comes on the same day that the Anne Frank Center called for White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to be fired for a remark perceived as a Holocaust denial comment.

Speaking about Syrian dictator Bashad al-Assad, Spicer suggested Assad was worse than German dictator Adolph Hitler because Hitler “didn’t sink to using chemical weapons.”

Hitler used cyanide gas to murder Jews in German concentration camps during World War II, when 6 million Jewish people perished.

Steve Goldstein, Executive Director of the Anne Frank Center, called for Spicer to be fired.

On Facebook, Goldstein posted, “On Passover no less, Sean Spicer has engaged in Holocaust denial, the most offensive form of fake news imaginable, by denying Hitler gassed millions of Jews to death. Spicer's statement is the most evil slur upon a group of people we have ever heard from a White House press secretary."

The Anne Frank Center is named for the young teen girl who died in one of Hitler’s concentration camps.

This is not the first time the Trump administration has offended Jews. On Holocaust Remembrance Day, Trump issued a statement that failed to mention Jews. His top aide, Steve Bannon, previously published anti-Semitic material on Breitbart News. Trump himself, during his campaign, retweeted messages from blatant anti-Semites and white Supremacists.

The White House also managed to offend many Christians this week by sharply scaling back the annual White House Easter egg hunt Melania Trump failed to follow the tradition of past first ladies and has not hired the staff that customarily organizes this event and others.

The Maine manufacturer of wooden eggs given as gifts each year to participants has, in the past, produced 80,000 of the wooden eggs, according to the White House website. Tis year, the company took to Twitter to publicize the lack of an order after the White House, President and First Lady failed to respond to his earlier reminders.

The Trump administration eventually ordered just 18,000 of the eggs, the New York Times reports.

Thus far, the White House has not sent any invitations to public schools or military families whose children have joyfully joined in the White House egg hunt in the past.

This year’s egg hunt participants, as in other recent years, will be chosen via a lottery that people in all 50 states could enter online.

The White House has not announced any A-list celebrity attendees, though a lone Sesame Street character is scheduled to appear – ironic, given that President Trump’s budget seeks to completely eliminate funding for public television, which airs the popular children’s program.

The White House egg roll began back in 1878 under President Rutherford B. Hayes. President Richard Nixon first added the Easter Bunny to the festivities and President Ronald Reagan added the now-popular egg hunt to the traditional egg roll on the White House lawn.

It is not yet known whether any member of the Trump family will join in the Easter egg activities set for Sunday.

Well damn. I didn't know Trump had ties to Soros. Why should we be surprised though. They are all rubbing shoulders. "They are good people. I don't want to hurt them."

Before the election I was saying that if I were to vote I would vote for Trump. I would not have even gone that far had I known of his connection to Soros.

Of course I did not vote because I figured this is exactly what we would be saddled with. You don't have a choice. If you choose to play their game, you end up being the rube. The way it has worked out, it would not have mattered one iota if Hillary had won the presidency except that I would have to listen to that witch talk. I detest her even more than Obama.

President Trump Realigning Geo-Political Alliances, and Few Paying Attention… (https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/04/15/president-trump-realigning-geo-political-alliances-and-few-paying-attention/) Posted on April 15, 2017 (https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/04/15/president-trump-realigning-geo-political-alliances-and-few-paying-attention/) by sundance (https://theconservativetreehouse.com/author/sundancecracker/)
Maybe it’s because the complexity is difficult to distill; maybe it’s because some just can’t give President Trump any credit; or maybe it’s because the scope is too challenging to comprehend against the constant belittlement meme du jour; regardless of reason, President Trump is fundamentally realigning international geo-political alliances and almost no-one is connecting the dots.
https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/trump-xi-jinping-4.jpg?w=300&h=298 (https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/trump-xi-jinping-4.jpg)President Trump obviously held a long-ball strategy with the Chinese; he’s described the approach in his books and lived the approach in his business life:
At the outset, position yourself at the furthest oppositional point when it costs you nothing; then leverage inward toward your opponent as they expend their resources to meet your stance.
Almost no-one is noting the scope of what President Trump has accomplished simply by positioning himself at the furthest extreme from the best interests of China, and then working his leverage back toward dual-interests as the Chinese expend capital to meet the point of mutual benefit.
President Trump has expended nothing other than his sheer will, and yet he has leveraged gains that are jaw-droppingly consequential.
♦ What’s the goal of identifying China as a currency manipulator? To stop China from manipulating currency, right? Well, arm-chair opposition says President Trump has reversed his position simply by ‘not doing something’. However, that opposition doesn’t seem to acknowledge the end-goal of the labeling has been achieved without expending an effort. The doing is unnecessary when merely the threat of the doing changes the behavior of the doer.
In two days, April 6th and April 7th, President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. What actions has President Trump taken, other than ‘not’ doing something, and what actions has President Xi Jinping taken?
https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/trump-china-summit-2.jpg?w=640&h=427 (https://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/trump-china-summit-2.jpg)
At the outset, position yourself at the furthest oppositional point when it costs you nothing, and leverage inward toward your opponent as they expend their resources to meet your stance.
Think about this when considering the consequences:
♦ China agrees to the framework of a 100 day outline to assemble the trade way-points for renegotiated bi-lateral trade deals.
What did that action cost Trump?
♦ For the first time ever, China did not support Russia in a U.N. Security Council veto vote surrounding Syria. China abstained.
What did that action cost Trump?
♦ China turned around 12 fully loaded cargo ships laden with imported coal from North Korea. 400,000 metric tonnes refused unloading. China begins an embargo against North Korean coal. China begins importing coking coal for steel-making from the U.S. coal mines.
What did that action cost Trump?
♦ Additionally, in furtherance of economic sanctions – China halts oil exports to North Korea.
What did that action cost Trump?
♦ Additionally, in furtherance of political isolation – China halts direct flights between Beijing, China and Pyongyang, North Korea.
What did that action cost Trump?
♦ And in the most stunning seismic shift of geo-political alliances, China says it is now open to discussions of a denuclearized North Korea, meaning getting rid of N-Korean nukes, WITHOUT N-Korea being included in the talks. Hello? (http://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2016/03/08/China-signals-interest-in-denuclearization-talks-without-North-Korea/4501457457146/) China, the United States, Japan, Russia and South Korea discussing how to de-nuke North Korea. (A new Marshal Plan of sorts)
What did that action cost Trump?
See how this works? What affirmative action did President Trump have to take in order to get China to move toward the position of mutual benefit?
Answer: None!
Foolish people think President Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing. Again:
…Position yourself at the furthest oppositional point when it costs you nothing, and leverage inward toward your opponent as they expend their resources to meet the position of mutual benefit…
To gain all of the aforementioned action, massive benefits in U.S. interests, President Trump has done what?
“Not” labeling China as a currency manipulator is not affirmative action. It is actually the absence of action; POTUS Trump is not doing something. President Trump positioned himself at the furthest oppositional point during the election, and immediately thereafter.
He staked out this position with an intention to leverage action toward his needs.
The affirmative action President Trump is doing, very publicly, is complimenting the friendship he has begun with Xi Jinping; and praising President Xi for his character, warmth and leadership.
To build upon that mutually beneficial friendship – President Trump seeded the background by appointing Ambassador Terry Branstad (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/trump-picks-xi-s-old-friend-as-his-ambassador-to-beijing-x80vd80s5), a 30-year personal friend of President Xi Jinping.
To enhance and amplify the friendship and personal respect – U.S. President Trump used Mar-a-Lago as the venue for their visit, not the White House. And President Trump’s beautiful granddaughter, Arabella, sweetly serenaded the Chinese First Family (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/02/03/ivanka-trump-woos-china-video-daughter-singing-chinese-suspicion/) in Mandarin Chinese song showing the utmost respect for the honored guests.
Unfortunately most people are unfamiliar with the severity of Chinese tradition as it relates to family and respect. However, these gestures are intensely well received. Russia’s Vladimir Putin can deliver nothing even remotely comparable to the charm of the granddaughter of the U.S. President singing for President Xi and his wife in their native tongue.
Do not underestimate the value of these gestures and how it was perceived by the recipients as personal respect – far above the level of traditional political respect which would be customary during such encounters. President Trump made this visit personal, and his words after the meeting were all personal, not positional.
Whether or not people want to give President Trump credit for the approach, no-one should be able to challenge the outcomes all listed above.
Grandfather President Trump has highlighted Grandfather President Xi as a person, not a political figure. Trump sets the relationship as personal, and with mutual human benefit.
One thing is certain, North Korea will NOT make any hostile action toward the U.S. because President Trump has elevated President Xi to a role beyond politics in the words highlighted within Chinese media. The panda fur has not only been stroked perfectly, it has been elevated in its own magnanimity without even so much as a bow.
As a consequence it would now be a matter of personal disrespect for North Korea’s Kim Jung-un to take hostile action toward the U.S. President who has exhibited such personal respect to the regional Goliath.
Three things appear odd: #1) How no-one amid almost all media can see how effective this approach by President Trump has been; and #2) Nothing has been expended in order to achieve these remarkable results; and #3) Accepting all of the above, Donald Trump has planned this out for a long, long time.

Of course it didn't cost Trump anything. But the important question is, what did it cost the American people, and, especially the children and grandchildren of the American people?

China does nothing for free. Ever. The Chinese don't have a 3,000 year old civilization by volunteering to cooperate with enemies, for free. They expect something in return. Something big. Here's a hint:

Gregg Popovich uncensored: Full transcript of thoughts on Donald Trump

Gregg Popovich said Friday that he's sick to his stomach that Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States.

Popovich said that it reflects the bigotry of many Americans, something he said disgusts him.

RELATED: Trump makes surprising comment about the Spurs

He said he's shocked that people have chosen a president who has overlooked women and minorities, and made fun of someone with a handicap.

Gregg Popovich calls Trump's campaign and victory "disgusting" in an interview with Spurs Nation.
Media: San Antonio Express-News

Below are his words in full.

"Right now I'm just trying to formulate thoughts. It's too early. I'm just sick to my stomach. Not basically because the Republicans won or anything, but the disgusting tenor and tone and all of the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic.

"I live in that country where half of the people ignored all of that to elect someone. That's the scariest part of the whole thing to me. It's got nothing to do with the environment and Obamacare, and all of the other stuff. We live in a country that ignored all of those values that we would hold our kids accountable for. They'd be grounded for years if they acted and said the things that have been said in that campaign by Donald Trump.

RELATED: Donald Trump on Spurs: 'Wouldn't it be great if the country were run like that?'

"I look at the Evangelicals and I wonder, those values don't mean anything to them? All of those values to me are more important than anybody's skill in business or anything else because it tells who we are, and how we want to live, and what kind of people we are. That's why I have great respect for people like Lindsey Graham and John McCain, John Kasich, who I disagree with on a lot of political things, but they had enough fiber and respect for humanity and tolerance for all groups to say what they said about the man.

"That's what worries me. I get it, of course we want to be successful, we're all going to say that. Everybody wants to be successful, it's our country, we don't want it to go down the drain. But any reasonable person would come to that conclusion, but it does not take away the fact that he used that fear mongering, and all of the comments, from day one, the race bating with trying to make Barack Obama, our first black president, illegitimate. It leaves me wondering where I've been living, and with whom I'm living.

"The fact that people can just gloss that over, start talking about the transition team, and we're all going to be kumbaya now and try to make the country good without talking about any of those things. And now we see that he's already backing off of immigration and Obamacare and other things, so was it a big fake, which makes you feel it's even more disgusting and cynical that somebody would use that to get the base that fired up.

To get elected. And what gets lost in the process are African Americans, and Hispanics, and women, and the gay population, not to mention the eighth grade developmental stage exhibited by him when he made fun of the handicapped person. I mean, come on. That's what a seventh grade, eighth grade bully does. And he was elected president of the United States. We would have scolded our kids. We would have had discussions until we were blue in the face trying to get them to understand these things. He is in charge of our country. That's disgusting."

A reporter then interrupted him.

"I'm not done," Popovich said. "One could go on and on, we didn't make this stuff up. He's angry at the media because they reported what he said and how he acted. That's ironic to me. It makes no sense. So that's my real fear, and that's what gives me so much pause and makes me feel so badly that the country is willing to be that intolerant and not understand the empathy that's necessary to understand other group's situations.

I'm a rich white guy, and I'm sick to my stomach thinking about it. I can't imagine being a Muslim right now, or a woman, or an African American, a Hispanic, a handicapped person. How disenfranchised they might feel. And for anyone in those groups that voted for him, it's just beyond my comprehension how they ignore all of that. My final conclusion is, my big fear is --- we are Rome."
