The Iowas caucuses are still a few days away, but two female pop singer-songwriters are already casting their vote for one 2012 Republican presidential candidate. On Wednesday night (Dec. 28), Kelly Clarkson unofficially endorsed Republican mainstay Ron Paul on Twitter, and Michelle Branch quickly followed suit.

"I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last republican nomination and no one gave him a chance," Clarkson wrote. "If he wins the nomination for the Republican party in 2012 he's got my vote. Too bad he probably won't."

The backlash from Clarkson's 925,000 followers quickly followed, with the pop singer clarifying that she does not endorse Paul's alleged racism (as reported in some recently retrieved newsletters in The New Republic) and calling some of the responses "demeaning & rude." "Ron Paul is about letting people decide, not the government. I am for this," she continued.

However, Clarkson did find one famous defender in Branch, who posted on Twitter, "I wholeheartedly agree. #RonPaul." Like Clarkson, Branch appeared to receive some unsightly responses, and followed with, "Hmm. Didn't mean to offend. I am not racist and am absolutely not a homophobe. Just trying to weed through the non-impressive choices!"

Michelle Branch: ‘Warner Bros. shelved my last two albums’

Michelle says her long break from the limelight wasn’t intentional, it was because the record label she was signed to didn’t like her new sound.

“It wasn’t really a decision,” she told Fault Magazine of her comeback. “I’ve been actively trying to release music for seven years. I turned in two albums to my old label, Warner Bros., that both got shelved. In 2014, I finally got out of my contract and immediately started writing this record. So it just happened to be this is the one that made it across the finish line.”

the album previous to her ron paul endorsement was BIG winner. then done....studio refused to let anything else out (some stats below)

the album before this one also platinum and got grammy nominations

nothing released since back to back platinums and grammys -- NO WAY they don't release her next album(s) if they are chiefly seeking profit.

If Trump was thrown under the bus then RP has absolutely NO chance of getting anything done.

artists should not do exclusive content contracts with labels. There is no need anymore. They should do first right of refusal deals which means they can then take it elsewhere to publish, even direct to consumer themselves. Maybe she learnt that lesson now

I doubt Kelly Clarkson is MKed, but the 'What Doesn't Kill You Make You Stronger' is heavily used by MKs and in the MK death cult. When they are being tortured in Ridgecrest and elsewhere, seeing others die from being tortured and the "chosen" MKs make it through the tortures, they think, 'What Doesn't Kill You Make You Stronger', justifying the MK process. When if fact they are simply being ruined for heaven, ruined for relationships, and ruined for life by the jew.

agree on clarkson. she's with a diff record company and they let her put out some albums since her ron paul debacle. she also cucked out right after she made the terrible mistake of expressing a modicum of support for doc....on her knees and groveling she stayed in the game

If Trump was thrown under the bus then RP has absolutely NO chance of getting anything done.

Trump is driving the bus, with Kushner telling him which streets to take.

A President Ron Paul would have inspired millions, even if he was blocked at every point by the tools in Congress and "the courts."

Trump has left millions of his supporters dejected, and rightly so.
