Yes. He was both part-Nigger and a closet faggot/transvestite. And, apparently, as your link alleges, a pedo. (((They))) could have destroyed him with any of those three. It's the same today: those who are allowed in positions of power, from Deputy Assistant Undersecretary of Redundancy Affairs up to "the President" himself, is compromised and readily compromisable.
